Never tried any gel energies and currently training for a fitness competition. Tried these for the first time during a practice simulation; impressive! Slips easily into a pocket or sports bra. Easy to open and consume. Tastes just like if you were going to consume a spoonful of honey from the jar. No weird after taste, not gritty. Smooth. I thought it might make me gag but it did not. Sweet and easy to swallow. I took it before going onto the treadmill and found myself not running out of steam midway through my run. Gives that boost without jitteriness or crash. It’s honey so what do you expect. Taste is good and doesn’t linger, but you definitely need water with it or your throat is like stuck shut while trying to run
