Any meter what is going in the DC millivolt range.

Q: How hot can the wire get? It's stainless and fiberglass, does it need shielded from flame?

I’ve had mine directly in the flame and glowing at 1900 degrees with no issues in the forge.

I do not know, it is reded for 100 C to 1250 C it should be working.
