Tastes Great!!!
The product seems to taste great with no after taste. I have mine sitting in the fridge to get cold right now. I tasted it warm & it tasted just fine! For those of you confused about the mix instructions 100 grams is equal to 1/2 cup or 4 oz. I used 2 cups or 16 oz. of water. I used my electric kettle to heat up my water to almost boil. Mixed the powder in a shaker bottle and put it in the fridge. I could've used ice in the shaker bottle but I didn't want to water it down, so I will impatiently wait! Next time I might make it the night before! Lol It does say it's only 10 servings but it looks like theres a lot more powder than that in the bag, but im not 100% positive. There is an insane amount of sugar in a serving, which I might have to look for a different brand with less sugar content, but I will see how it goes. Quality seems to be good, no clumping, but I didn't try mixing with cold water yet. Theres no funky smell from the powder either!

Expired & Refunded
The product came and it's expired in January 2026. I did get a refund for not needing it any more but I would recommend you to check the expiration date when you receive the item.

Hot beverages or cooled beverages.
The powder mixes with hot liquid and not with cold liquid. I mix it with soy beverage on the stove, pour into containers, and let cool in the fridge. There is usually some left for a hot beverage.

Areca nut ❌
We bought it because of the good ratio between price, quantity and quality, we were consuming the product without problem, it was delicious an the second time we ordered it but one day I thought of researching about the ingredients because there was a compound with a strange name and surprise, it was safe but I discovered that it had a really bad compound, Areca Nut, banned in a few countries, I don't know why here in the USA it is not banned yet. Highly carcinogenic, and with nicotine-like reactions. I imagine that the purpose of adding it to the product is to make it somewhat addictive. If it weren't for that ingredient, I would continue to consume it. I share the information with you for prevention reasons.

Decent But WAY too sweet.
I love the taste of taro. It is nice to see the West adopting it a bit more. The wife and family don't particularly care for it, but I've been enjoying it. Definitely an acquired taste. It is disgustingly sweet. If you want to make a proper cup for some bubble tea, it's going to be sickeningly sweet. Though, that much is obvious if you look at the nutrtional information provided. Way, way too much sugar. It is pretty easy to make, though. I'd suggest using warm water to dissolve more efficiently, though it isn't a strict requirement. Just be prepared to stir for a little longer. I can't speak of the shelf life of the product, I have not had it long enough. Stored in an airtight container. Ingredients seem to mostly just be sugar and milk powders. If you want a stronger taro flavor, this isn't the best product. The sweetness to flavor ratio is way off. At least the texture is smooth, when properly prepared. Great as a rare treat, but I wouldn't suggest consuming this product regularly if you are concerned about caloric or sugar intake.

Creamy, Sweet Taro Flavor That’s Great for DIY Drinks
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked this taro powder because it came in a large 1kg size and was specifically marketed for bubble tea, smoothies, and desserts. I liked that it didn’t have overly flashy packaging or gimmicky claims—it just looked like a solid, straightforward mix. It also had good reviews and seemed like a more affordable option compared to some of the pricier imported brands. Taste: The flavor is exactly what I was hoping for—sweet, creamy, and unmistakably taro. It has that slightly nutty, vanilla-like taste you expect from taro drinks at a boba shop. It’s rich without being too heavy, and there’s no weird aftertaste. It works great in milk tea, smoothies, and even in baking. Quality: This powder dissolves smoothly in warm liquids and blends decently in cold ones with a little extra effort. The texture is fine and doesn’t clump up easily. It tastes consistent every time and doesn’t feel overly artificial. This taro flavored powder is perfect if you’re into making bubble tea or sweet milk-based drinks at home. It has that classic creamy, slightly nutty taro flavor you’d expect from a good boba shop, and it blends really well with both milk and non-dairy alternatives. No weird aftertaste or chalky texture. The 1kg bag is a good value and lasts a while, especially if you're only making one or two drinks at a time. It’s also great for experimenting—you can use it in smoothies, baked goods, or even ice cream bases. Just adjust the sweetness to your liking depending on what you’re making, because it does come fairly sweet out of the bag. It dissolves easily when mixed with warm liquids, though it needs a little extra stirring in cold ones. Super fun to have on hand if you love customizing your own drinks. Pros: Smooth, classic taro flavor, versatile, dissolves well Cons: A bit sweet—may need tweaking depending on recipe Value for money: The 1kg bag is a great deal if you make drinks regularly. A little goes a long way, and it lasts much longer than smaller specialty packs. Definitely more cost-effective than buying individual taro drinks from cafes. Sugar content: It is sweet straight out of the bag—maybe a bit sweeter than I expected—so I ended up using a little less than the suggested amount in some recipes. If you like to control your sweetness level, you might need to adjust it or dilute it with plain milk or tea.
