This gum is great! While reading My Plastic Free Life I was shocked to discover that my beloved gum contained plastic! I was tossing Tupperware, brushing my teeth with pig bristles & using stainless steel water bottles thinking I was making strides for my health when all the while I was eating the substance I was trying to avoid. I thought I'd have to give up gum forever when I discovered this brand. So far this is the only brand I could find that doesn't contain plastic (gum base). Peppersmith used to but now has gum base. So, mission accomplished I found plastic free gum, but it probably tastes like dirt, right? Wrong. Granting this gum doesn't have the shockingly sweet or super minty taste of traditional gum. It's much more subtle. The gum is initially very firm and the flavors are strong but after a minute it becomes very soft and smooth and the flavors are toned down but steady. I chewed my first piece for about 40 minutes and it was still delicious. I even managed to blow a bubble. I could have deducted a star for the price. $3 for a pack of gum is pricey & $18 is quite a gamble for a product you're not sure you'll even enjoy. However, this is a delicious high quality product and it is unique, so the price is fitting. I would definitely buy this again.

When you have a kid, you start to question all those things you took for granted were no big deal. The occasional candy. The occasional soda. The occasional piece of chewing gum. I like to chew gum when I drive. It keeps me from disemboweling rude, insane drivers who threaten the lives of those around them by their selfishness. At hem. Chewing gum calms me down and nobody gets hurt. But it turns out gum that is sold in the USA all has "gum base" as the secret ingredient. When you look up gum base you find it's made from--you'll never guess so I'll tell you--paint chips and car tires. Seriously. Latex and rubber. We who like to chew gum are putting toxic substances into our bodies and gum manufacturers get away with it because we don't swallow gum--normally. In my parents' generation, one could buy gum that was made from chicle, which comes from a tree and is 100% natural and nontoxic. Somehow this morphed into made-in-China and the secret rubber-tire-and-paint-chip junk that is passed off as gum base. I looked hard for a gum that had chicle in it and finally found one--Simply Gum. Not only is it natural, the ingredients are simple, familiar and pronounceable. Simply Gum tastes great too and has a fantastic, smooth texture. Our favorite flavors are the licorice, the mint, and the cinnamon (which is spicy--yum!). You don't have to feel anything but good about chewing Simply Gum. Okay, it does cost more than the latex-rubber gum, but we don't chew more than a piece a day at most. We feel that our health and well-being are most definitely worth it. Thanks, Simply Gum, for saving the lives of the insane drivers around me!

I REALLY wanted to like this gum....I suffered through an entire 12 pack with the heart of a champion. APPEARANCE: It's brown and terd-like. It looks like something you would find in the bottom of your grandmother's closet. The first time I tried to offer a piece to my wife, she thought it was a practical joke and I had found it on the ground in the parking lot of Whole Foods. I literally couldn't get her to try it for about 10 minutes. Care to offer a piece to a friend or stranger to start a conversation in a public place? Forget about it! FLAVOR: It actually tastes good! For a total of about .0299792458 nano seconds. This is coincidentally the same amount of time it takes light to travel 1 meter. Strap in, the ride is just getting started. CONSISTENCY: After only a few minutes of chewing, it develops a sticky consistency.....It sticks to your tongue, teeth, lips, and anything else this highly evolved alien parasite comes in contact with. If you try to spit it out, it will stick to your fingers in a last effort to remain with it's host. SIZE: It's very small and that makes it very unsatisfying (please insert your own joke here). If you are used to chewing a standard size gum, naturally you will try to chew 2 pieces at once; but this creates an even larger mother alien parasite that even Sigourney Weaver would have difficulty disposing of. WRAPPERS: I will say, I thought it was cool that they include these disposable little paper wrappers right in the pack. Yes, you will be using those IMMEDIATELY. It actually compounds the problems. Now you've gone and got me started on these wrappers.... First off, the paper is engineered to be the thickness of a quantum particle. You actually experience the observer effect as they appear in and out of reality when you hold them. Once inside, your gum instantly absorbs through this paper and that disappears creating an endless sticky disaster. You can try to wrap it into a ball therefore increasing the multiple folding layers that come in contact with the gum, but this gum will laugh at your efforts. You have to double, and in some cases triple up the wrappers! The joke's on you, because the creatures who spawned this oral leviathan put half as many quantum wrappers in the pack as actual pieces of gum! Please do the universe a favor and pass right by this gum if you ever see it in the store. In fact, use fire to burn the surrounding area and any other pod like structures you find nearby. You have been warned.

I first tried this from a grocery store. I was surprised at how great the taste was! It is refreshing; flavor lasts long; it's a bit pricey but it's natural. It gets sticky when chewed a long time. It starts off a bit firm, but gets very soft. They are little nuggets and you can see it has papers to throw your used gum away with. They thought of everything! The package also locks after opening too! And with THIS mint gum you can blow bubbles.

I recently tried Simple Gum’s peppermint flavor, and overall it’s a mixed experience. The peppermint is clean and refreshing, but the gum itself is quite firm, which makes the chew a bit tougher than expected. The flavor holds strong for about 15–25 minutes before fading completely, leaving you with gum that you’re just chewing for the sake of chewing. For the price, I do wish the flavor lasted longer. Still, it feels good knowing I’m not chewing on a product that contains plastic, which gives it an edge over many mainstream brands. For now, it’s a healthier step in the right direction while I continue looking for a cleaner gum that offers a longer‑lasting flavor.

I was looking for a Peppermint gum that didn’t use artificial sweetener. These fill the bill. They are not individually wrapped, but they have a long shelf life, so the should be ok for over a year from purchase on the shelf. Flavor is not super strong, but sufficient, and I am happy not to be drugged with artificial sweetener. Recommended.

This gum was chewable but not great. It wasn’t as tough as others I’ve tried. Tast was good but it was gritty.

Excited to have found a corn free gum. Great for people like myself who have a corn intolerance, allergy or simply wish to have a more natural gum. Very happy to have found this product.

Ces chewing-gum n'ont absolument pas de goût. J'ai pris la version menthe, et à peine en bouche le goût est déjà partie. A ce prix là c'est une honte. Par contre ils ne collent pas au dents comme indiqué dans certains commentaires. Je ne les conseille absolument pas.
