I so appreciate this author, Paula Price. When I read her book entitled "Constructing the Contemporary Prophet". I realized that I was not crazy after all. That book, like this book ushers in a paradigm shift because it confirms, enlightens, empowers, informs, and enlarges the prophet to not only understand the mantle he/she carries, but to also accommodate the mantle he/she carries. Again, the price, the ease of ordering, the speed of delivery, and the product are all a part of why I continuously return to Amazon.com

If you are a budding, novice, or well established prophet this book is absolutely essential to your library for administering the prophetic gift. I love the revelation and professional undertones laced in the chapters. This is prophetic structure well needed and well written. Every true prophet can concur to the nuances of training and preparation, but as in developing accountability, professional postures, etiquette, and understanding diversity within the context of scripture we get lost in translation. I'm thankful to Jesus personally for this book by Dr. Paula to clarify many misconceptions and opening wells of understanding maybe unknown to most, but probably sought out with no reference or resource. I will continue to use this handbook in my personal journey in the prophetic and I would recommend to anyone looking for sound doctrine and clarity on prophetic ministry to read and study with this awesome book!

First of all, everyone in the body of the MESSIAH (in HIS BODY) is called to PROPHESY Joel 2:28 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will POUR OUT MY SPIRIT UPON ALL FLESH; and your SONS and your DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:” Fulfilled in Acts 2:16-18; "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith ELOHIM, I will pour out of my SPIRIT UPON ALL FLESH: and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my 'HANDMAIDENS' I will pour out in those days of my SPIRIT; and they shall PROPHESY: 1 Thessalonians 5:20; "Despise NOT PROPHESYING." HIS KINGDOM COME!

This book is an excellent tool to have for your leadership team. A must read, I'm not finished yet taking my time and it has been life changing. Thank you!

This book is straight from the throne room from the mind and heart of God this book was very very helpful to me as a New Prophet in training. Im actually going to read it again. It breaks down everything pertaining to the Call, the Office, the role, and expected mindset. This book explains everything you need to know about being a Prophet and the Prophetic ministry. I would recommend this book to budding prophets, seasoned Prophets, and all Pastors especially traditional ones. Thank you Paula for allowing God to use you for this hour. That book will be and has already been a mighty tool for the building of God's Kingdom. To God be the GLORY!!!!! Oh and please do check out the dictionary another great tool.

This is a very in-depth study of the office of the prophet. Paula Price really traces the history of the prophetic using illustrations from biblical and secular examples.. She clearly explains the prophet and prophetic type peoples position in the church and also delves into the differences of the seer versus the prophet, her language can be a bit academic at times but it gets the point across. I felt like a ate a T-bone steak when I got done reading it. I was very interested in this ministry and this addresses the function of the prophet and prophetic people from a multifaceted perspective it also gives suggestions on implementing the prophetic in the local church and also talks about itinerant prophets too. Good book that addresses the prophetic from different and deeper angles than most on the subject!!

I'm still reading this book, it was recommended for class. Every church, Pastor, clergy member needs to know this information. Have you or anyone you know ever received a prophecy and after the excitement find yourself not knowing what to do next? This is why? Untrained Prophets: These untrained prophets want to saturate the world with prophecy, exercise some spiritual gifts, and hold prophecy sessions the way evangelists hold altar calls. After these meetings, they send their audiences back home with nothing but a prophecy to fix their lives. The absence of criteria, standards, protocols, and even a valid position description prevented them from discerning what else their hearers needed from them as prophets beside their predictions. Prophets are needed today to function as God's mouthpiece but without proper training a prophet can do more harm than good. Prophets today needs proper training and understanding of how and when to share prophecies, of how they are to operate UNDER the Pastor's Leading (work alongside the Pastor for the benefit of the ministry). Are you a prophet to the church or the nation? Because of this book authored by Paula A. Price, my eyes have been opened to a lot of things that I was ignorant to. Thanks

This book is written for leaders of the Children of God. It identifies the work and calling of the gifts of the office of the prophet. It is also a tool for those who are wondering where they fit, and how God will use their gift for the Kingdom. I would say if you are a novice do not purchase this book. It's not your season. Not that you are not called, or have the gift on your life. But this book is filled with morsels of meat. It is not easily digested and if you have not been in a place to have your baby teeth pulled and a full set of adult teeth in, you will swallow whole pieces and not get the complete fulfillment and the purpose of the meat. I loved it, I read it and will continue to read it. Each time, like the word of God, I get a new piece of meat I did get before. Bravo Dr. Price

Brilliant book detailing the role of a prophet from a biblical perspective. Good resource for those wanting to understand the role of a prophet, the calling, the office, the requirements, the purpose of a prophet in today's church, etc. It explains the necessity of an obedient prophet as well as the consequences of a disobedient prophet. More information is in the book, to much to describe, in a review. Recommend.
