Used these for a round of peach preserves and figured I'd share what I wish someone told me before I hit 'buy.' 🧼 First, always sterilize the lids before use—even if they look clean. A quick boil or hot soapy wash is a must if you're canning anything shelf-stable. 🧲 Fit-wise, these worked fine on my Ball jars, but I noticed they're ever-so-slightly tighter on Kerr. Not a dealbreaker, but something to watch if you're mixing brands. 🛑 Heads-up: lids are one-and-done for canning. You can reuse the rings all you want, but don’t try resealing with the same lid unless you like playing food safety roulette. 🧊 Not all are freezer-safe. If you're using them for cold storage, check the listing. I had one warp when I froze chili, but the rest held up fine. 🫙 Bonus tip: If the lid has a button/dimple in the center, make sure it pops down after sealing and up when opened — that’s how you know you’ve got a good vacuum seal. I’d absolutely buy again, just test a few before you go all-out on a big batch. I’m picky, and these passed the test.
