So realistic, have not seen any hungry herons since having the decoy.

It may or may not fool another Heron, but it fooled my neighbor who came to me in a panic. She was afraid the heron was back and going to eat the rest of my fish! I had to show her that it was fake. So far so good, the real Heron has not been back.

Looks real to humans but a live Blue Heron couldn’t care less. It still visits our pond.

I hate to be negative but this item is so cheaply made we didn't even take it all the way out of the box. It absolutely does not look believable at all. Maybe from a distance it would work if you want a decoy, but up close... like on a patio.... it isn't a quality piece. The colors were off for a heron..... and as I mentioned we didn't even put it out so I can't speak to functionality. Although looking at it we were not confident in its functionality.
