Smooth writing excellent feel mechanical pencil, but in a 0.5 mm lead size. This is the basic version. No rubber finger grip, just a plastic pencil. Don't be fooled by the low price, this is a quality pencil. The lead is thin, but writes without breaking. This little device is amazing. good lead control with each advance of pressing the eraser button. My wife had bought some cheapo ones from a no name Chinese source. That poor POS advanced the lead too much, the lead was constantly breaking, and the eraser just left a dark smudge. The BIC writes well, the lead doesn't break, and the eraser leaves behind a clean surface. These are inexpensive but turn out to be a high value item. I like the clean look and the tabs are in assorted colors. I use these both for regular writing when I want a fine line, as well as with a woodworking measuring ruler with little accurate holes that take a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil lead.
