Now I can play my smartphone's music in my Honda Pilot
My older Honda Pilot did not come with an AUX input so I could play my music from my Samsung smartphone. I found a company that builds an interface for my radio that I could plug in to the rear receptacle. The only issue was getting the connector to the dash so I could connect the 3.5mm plug. This solved my problem. I manufactured a small plate that I attached this panel mount plug to and since I was "upgrading" I also added a panel mount USB plug that I wired to my 12V convenience power plug.

Very Clean factory install---simple & inexpensive
I used this with the HON98-AUX convertor in my 99 honda accord EX the install was quick and simple after I found the weird drill bit that was required. I went to lowes picked it up and drilled the hole, which was just the right size. I recommend this product completely!! Also make sure when you drill the hole, if you are drilling for a car, look where you drill first I thought I messed up the dash piece because when I went back to put the panel back on it was very close to the radio and almost didnt go back into the clips and reattach. Luckly, I didnt have the panel seated right on the bottom and it went on perfectly!! Also read my review of the HON98-AUX product that works flawlessly with this product.

Works great. Looks very nice and clean on the dash.
I purchased this to go with an interface box that plugs into the back of the stereo in my 2004 F150. I added this to the top of the dash board in that rubber lined tray the F150s have. That is where Ford puts the input when they add it so I figured I would do the same. This looks good and the sound quality is great. Best of all, you don't really notice it when it isn't in use.Understand that you will need a pretty big hole for this thing when you buy it. The drill bit size needed is most likely not in that pack of drill bits you own. I used a stepped bit that allowed me to just keep drilling it bigger until it was right.I would purchase this again.

A thing
This thing seems expensive and over-sized for what it does, but I guess it's the best option for adding a front 3.5mm jack to your car. Some quick and vague info. The length is roughly 3ft or so and the threaded part seems to be 18.5mm (3/4"). Anyways, this is important because if you happen to be doing a bunch of mods at once, a Boss CAM22 comes with the appropriate 18.5mm hole saw.

Worked perfect
I purchased two of these to allow both my wife and me to use our MP3 players in our respective vehicles using the "AUX" button on our radios. These worked absolutely perfectly. For my 2006 F-150 FX4, I had to buy a PIE FRD04-AUX - Car audio switcher to plug into my radio's AUX port. I then was able to drill a 3/4" hole through my dashboard faceplate to custom mount this jack. It looks like a professional installation. For my wife's 2006 Honda According, I bought Honda to Sony to plug into her radio's AUX port. I was able to hide this jack in one of her storage compartments.I highly recommend this adapter.

No unsightly holes
The panel mount worked perfectly. I have it installed on an 2004 honda accord and it fit exactly the way I needed it to. The only thing to check before installing is if there is enough room behind the panel. Also check to make sure you have a large enough drill size for this to fit through, if not order the bit at the same time. Other than that, the part is very durable and gives you a quality install for aftermarket system.

otherwise it would be perfect. If you bump the L shaped aux connector
This guy does everything is is supposed to. I put in my 2004 Honda Accord LX. I only have one small issue with it, otherwise it would be perfect. If you bump the L shaped aux connector, it wont quite make a complete connection if you have pressure on it from the wrong direction.

Exactly what I was looking for.
Be aware that this item is not a drop in replacement size for a cigarette lighter sized auxiliary hole. It's smaller, maybe 3/4" diameter vs. 1 1/4". I had to fabricate a small plate to put this into an existing hole where a 12v aux port was on my boat. I didn't really care so much how it looked. The item seems well manufactured and it works great.
