I compared this to others, and this was a step up from the basic connectors that come with lights. It is easier to use, more solid and allows you to hook up both connectors at once, so they are mated easier together, less likely to get mixed up when connecting multiple lights in one spot--which I did. Value for money: Why did you pick this product vs others?: They were the same price or cheaper than other connectors but were more solidly built and better design. Ease of use: I found that other connectors I used sometimes lost contact, wire didn't stay in contact with light contact; these guys had a much better design with a pin in the middle that got compressed with the wire when you tightened it, while the others just had a flat pad. The latter system allowed several of my lights to come lose. Trouble shooting these connection, when buried in the dirt and bent over and on your knees in the cold is not my idea of a good time.

Product works great! Easy to use replacement connector for low voltage landscape lighting. Used these to replace & repair connectors on lighting that had been installed 15 years ago. Worked like a champ.
