Just got this. But it doesn't seem to come with the 2nd piece (the insert). Is that how this product is? Is this just a one piece modular plug?

This is a once piece modular plug. All you have to do is put the pairs in the correct configuration, and crimp to terminate the cable. So, in other words it has no insert. I hope this helps. If you have more questions feel free to ask.

Will these connectors work with 24 awg cat-5e cable. i bought these accidentally, but the description says 24-26 awg. is the description corect?

Dear buyer, yes, it can work with 24 awg cat-5e cable, our description is correct. Thank you!

Do these have the inserts? Please for all that is holy say that they don't.

There are no inserts. All you have to do is get the cable wires cut flat and in order, then put them in the connector and crimp. Nothing else to it. No other tools required.

Which inserts should I buy for this? I'm a novice with cable building but just have too much trouble trying to keep the wires in the correct order.

High quality ends that doesn't break and easy to crimp

High quality RJ45 ends that is easy to crimp, provide sufficient space to insert the tiny wires, It's also strong plastic and the locking mechanism/clip doesn't break, I recommend this if you want this style of RJ45 Connector
