Light arrived where I am in Oz < 5 days after order. Was packed in 2 boxes - the second one was a little excessive in terms of dimensions, but it was well-packed. The accessory hangars/cord pulleys work really well. Appreciate the AU plug - it's actually a standard 3-pin IEC C13 connector, so replacements are easy enough to fine. Had a tiny bit of trouble plugging the power into the light array, so be aware that the hole drilled for the plug at the side of the unit is a very snug fit. I wasn't pushing it through firmly enough at first, but I gently held the other side of the plug receiver, gave it slightly firmer pressure and it went through and stayed snug in the socket. I find it a little strange that you get more info on this Amazon page than you do the Mars Hydro site, but check their recommendations here for light intensity - e.g. 25% for germination. I've got the light hanging fairly low at present, only 35cm from the top of the plants, so I've got it set at a bit over 15% (checking for about 8000 lux using a phone-based light meter, which is accurate enough). Anyway good product, seems to do exactly what it says on the tin, with a simple, good design with well-made components.

I grow most of our veggies and herbs in our basement, and have two large rooms - one for larger floor plants, and one for seedlings and smaller plants that can be grown on shelves. In the room for larger plants, I have quite a few of the larger Mars Hydro LED lights, mostly TSW3000 and a couple TSW2000. In the room for my shelves, I use primarily T5 fixtures that have been converted to T5 LED tubes. One of these fixtures quit working, so I decided to try this TS1000 to replace it even though the fixture is much smaller than the one it is replacing. Since this fixture was being used on a middle shelf, I didn't want the transformer to be on the light as it would heat the shelf above. So, I removed the transformer and the dimmer and put it on them top of the shelving unit since the electrical cable was long enough. Then I attached the light to the underside of the middle shelf with S-hooks. Once this was done and the TS1000 was plugged in, I found that the PAR level of this light at 8 inches from the light, dimmed to 35%, was the same as the LED tube lights at the same height. What this means to me is that I don't constantly have to adjust the height of the light over the plants - I need only to adjust the dimmer. I also found that this light, though smaller, provides more light for a larger area than the the 24" tube lights. One of my pictures shows this TS1000 next to one of the LED tube fixtures. At the levels they are, the PAR level is the same under both fixtures, and the TS1000 is set to 75%. My testing was all done with a high level PAR meter. So, to sum it up, what do I like about this TS1000 as compared to the LED tube lights I am using. 1) Light intensity can be adjusted by using the dimmer rather than adjusting the height of the light. 2) Light intensity is much stronger than provide with the T5 LED tubes and can be dimmed to desired intensity from 0% to 100%. 3) Multiple fixtures can be daisy-chained so light intensity can be controlled by one unit. 3) The new design of the hood for this light extends stronger light on a wider area with this 15" fixture than is provided with 24" LED tubes. 4) No heat is generated from the LED diodes. So, plants touching the light won't be burned by heat, although plants too close to the light will get excessive lighting. 5) The power source can be removed from the top of the light and is attached to the fixture with a long cable. This can be helpful when the light is used in an enclosed area such as a grow tent. The power source can be place outside of the tent so as not to heat the area inside the tent. 6) Since I have quite a few of the Mars Hydro LED lights, and have had great success with them, I am assuming the quality is equal on this smaller TS1000. This light is recommended for a 3' x 3' area for vegetative state, but was tested in a 2" x 2" area. In my opinion, it would be better for a 2' x 2' area at a height of 18" to 24" unless the intensity is reduced by the dimmer. I do recommend this light for shelves or for smaller areas. UPDATE 03/15/24: I like these light so much for my shelves, I decided to buy 2 more for my 4' shelf to replace the T5 LED fixtures I have been using on this shelf. I have added pictures that show this light over seedlings and one of the T5 LED lights over other seedlings. Even though this TS1000 is much higher (15") above the plants than the T5 fixture (4 inches), the PBFD reading is about the same except that this light has better reading at the outer edges of the light. Considering the cost of the T5 fixtures that the tubes need to be replaced with LED tubes, this TS1000 is much less expensive and provides better and more usable lighting for the plants. UPDATE 03/23/24: I have been using these lights for about 6 weeks, and I am amazed how much faster my plants are growing even though I have these lights 15 inches above the plants. Although I don't think these lights would be as effective in a large area, I am ecstatic with the results I am seeing on the plants I have on my shelf. I'm sure I will be buying more of them to replace more of the LED tube lights on my other shelves. UPDATE 4/08/24 for TSL2000: The previous part of this review is for the TS1000. I decided to try the TSL2000 on a 5-foot shelf to replace a T5 fixture with 8 LED tubes. Although the TSL2000 is much smaller than the T5 LED fixture, it provides better lighting at a greater distance for the same space. The T5 fixture uses about 250 watts and must be much closer to the plants to provide the same lighting. By hanging the TSL2000 from chains, it can be kept further from the plants at 75% power using 225 watts for the same usable lighting (PAR). This saves on electricity and it is so much easier to water plants with the lighting higher above the plants. I have added pictures of the TSL2000 and the T5 fixtures over plants on shelves. I decided to try adding another TSL2000 to my 5' shelf that is 2' wide, one to the back of the shelf and one to the front. I decided to try this since the PAR level to the front and back of the fixture was much lower than the center. By setting up two lights on this shelf, the crossover lighting between the two is more consistent with the PAR level to the outside of the lighting. I am hanging these lights from the upper shelf with 2" s-hooks rather than using the supplied pulleys. This allows me to hang the fixtures closer to the upper shelf. I have also set both shelves a 50%. So, I am getting a consistently higher PAR level at a greater distance from the plants and using the wattage of one fixture. I am trying this because plants at the outer lighting of one fixture tend to grow slower than the plants in the middle of the lighting. I am hoping to get consistent growth on all of the plants. The TSL2000 has all of the advantages mentioned in my review of the TS1000, but it covers a larger area. I recommend this light for a 2' x 4' area. Anything larger than this would be for low light plants in the area outside of this space. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Bought this light last August Light is fantastic and just bought another one that arrived today. My only gripe- when using a par meter for seedlings the recommended hanging height at 25% produces more mmols than required. I’ve found that turning the light on just past when it clicks gives between 200-400 mmol at 12” recommended height. Download a app like photon and a diffuser to test this for yourself to get best results
