SCS DirectWindows, Doors, and Roof Bricks Set for Modular House Building - Includes Over 500 Pieces of Unique Doors and Windows - Tight Fit with All Major Brands

This was my first real experience trying out an off brand that isn't Megablocks, and I was really worried about the fit, but I am happily impressed and would recommend this set to others. The pieces fit snugly with the original Lego brand.Maybe a little too snug sometimes with the roof parts, but it comes apart just fine with that separator tool. I haven't noticed any miscasts like you sometimes get in other off brands (I got a few other brands in the same order). I also really love the designs, especially the door with the swoosh. The plastic isn't the same as Lego, it has a little more more flexibility, but it feels equally sturdy and has the same sheen and texture.The doors are the standard size and the parts are interchangeable with Lego door parts. The windows are a little taller than the typical Lego window at 5 blocks tall, but I like it. It's a good size for a window and gives space for the fun designs.For people who are a bit OCD like me, here's some stuff that I noticed. There's some slight warping inward for some of the frames, but it's only visible if you look really close and doesn't interfere with anything. Sometimes the opening and closing is a little stiff, and need to be worked a few times to go smoothly. The colors aren't an exact match for the Lego colors, they're just very slightly more yellow but it's barely noticeable even with the pieces right next to each other most of the time, even less with indoor lighting. The brown is the most noticably different. With the actual windows and doors one side is slightly different than the other with the edges, making it look a little flatter. Most people won't notice anything, but it was enough for me to put things in the frames the same direction instead of mirroring some like I wanted to. Honestly, Legos sometimes do this too, so it's not a deal breaker. I've included examples and comparison photos. In the comparisons Lego is on the left, this product on the right.There's enough door frames for all the doors, but only enough window frames for three of each style. If you think of the remaining 3 as extra I think it's still worth the price. The door handles don't really stick out much, and they're a little smaller in diameter than the Lego doors, so you can't add "doorknobs", making opening or closing some doors a little more tricky if you're doing an enclosed building design. There's not a lot of roofing, especially since there's a variety of slope types which reduce the number of repeats, but that's not why I bought this set anyway. It's nice to have more roofing anyway, though I would prefer black or grey to the red.I'm happy enough with this product that I'm considering ordering it again so I can make a more impressive building. The only reason I'm removing a star is because my order was packaged incorrectly, giving me 30 red door frames instead of 15 window frames and 15 door frames.It'd be awesome if they had more sets like this with unique parts, like fences, doors with no frames, or other window shapes, like the more common 4 brick tall frame size. Sadly as far as I can tell, this is the only really unique set from this company at the moment.

As an adult who still loves to create Lego houses, this off-brand set of windows and accessories adds so many possibilities to your creative endeavors. I love the variety of door and window inserts, while the actual number of frames is generous in this giant package. It felt like Lego Christmas!

They are outstanding on the look, you will have a lot to work with....🙂. The doors look thin, but the frames help with that..

AWESOME!!! We have 4 kids. All LEGO/building bricks become “community property” and go into a huge storage tub after the kit is built. They were constantly stealing each other’s doors & windows off each of their houses/building they created when the owner wasn’t looking. This SQUASHED that problem. I am VERY PLEASED with this purchase. Our children were ecstatic. The pack contains unique windows & doors. Great buy!!!
