Added this to my collection of Tapo related goods and I am happy to say that it works flawlessly! Easy to set up via the Tapo app and the picture quality is astounding for not just what it covers, but for what it captures. It even set up the internet connection without me having to do anything other than tap 'ok' - it was that simple! Easy to pair up with google home (so far) and I need to dip more into that area to see what it does connect to. I get notifications on the device I've set it up to - silent ones, so a message will pop up on the screen to inform me that activity has been detected. I love the battery life too - my previous doorbell camera had to be recharged so often it spent most of it's life off the door. No subscription fees either - pop a micro SD card in it and it will capture activity on it, or you can watch on your device and you can record straight to your device (not good if you only have limited space available). Either way, I do wish I'd bought this FIRST.

Fantastic camera and sound. Also easy set up. Can link additional cameras. If you want to save footage you need sd card around ten quid or subscribe each device 5 a month but not necessary if you just want to link and view live. Works in android and iPhone. Both hubby and I can see and get notified in app with separate phones. Works when hes offshore. For the money. Well pleased with the purchase and excellent set up instructions. Uk based company. Tapo wins my vote.

more 3.5 stars and than 4. Bought this to replace Eufy video doorbell that after one year didn't fully charge up and had slow response time. This is a solid budget video camera. Good quality video, quick response times. However has two major drawbacks that are solveable with optional equipment: 1. local storage is on the doorbell itself, meaning the memory card or the actual unit itself can be stolen and you would lose all recordings. 2. The battery is nowhere near the 180 day life advertised, not even close! After a week of pretty average usage (a handful of notifications per day and maybe 2 bell presses?) the battery dropped to 84% meaning it would probably last about 6 weeks or 42 days. I solved both of these by: 1. getting a Tapo smart hub which allows the doorbell to record videos to a memory card on the hub which is located inside my house. (about £16) 2. getting a Tapo solar panel that connects to the door bell and charges it during the day (about £21). Potentially may not work as well in the winter but it beats charging it up every 6 weeks. So not perfect but still a decent buget option even with the additional add ons.

Excellent doorbell camera. Installation and set up very easy and video quality very good. We have the wired in version so no problem with battery recharge etc. very pleased and excellent price as well.

I'm blown away by the quality of this doorbell! The video quality is superb! So much better than my Ring Pro Wired that this replaced. The plug in chime is really good as it's physically small. It's very loud though and you can change the volume and ringtones to your liking. The fact you don't need to pay for a subscription is the big selling point. The field of view is large - it records my entire cul-de-sac. The notification time from being pressed to the chime ringing and your phone notification is almost instant and I love the fact it brings up a phone call on your phone to answer. The 24/7 recording is exactly what I wanted too. Top all of this off with the fact it is an absolute bargain price and I can't think of a reason not to buy it.

Great doorbell camera. The video quality is very clear and it picks up both people and pets accurately, which is really useful. One of the best things is that there’s no monthly subscription required, so you get the features without extra costs. The battery life has also been excellent and lasts a long time between charges. Setup was quick and the app works well. Overall, very impressed and would definitely recommend.

Good points - free to use, no subscriptions and storage on an SD card is a huge bonus. Links to all other Tapo products and use my existing hub as a chime and Alexa announcements elsewhere in the house. Good enough picture quality for nearby images. Bad points - battery life is awful, I have turned down the motion detection to lowest and still only get around 3 days on a full charge. Speed of connecting to the phone when the “call” comes through can be a bit slow sometimes. Overall it’s decent if you don’t mind constantly charging - maybe get a solar panel for it.

Really pleased with this Tapo camera doorbell. It was easy to install (I used a new 24v transformer, rather than faff bridging the old doorbell's ringer). Setup with the app/WiFi was simple and there are lots of options to change to make it work how you want wrt alerts of different types (movement, people, tampering etc), custom shaped detection zones, times of day etc. Recording to a local memory card + the Tapo cloud works great (you can have both together). Call notification/answering remotely via the app is cool. It also has some standard responses if you don't answer within a configurable time. The remote ringer is nice. Little mains plug box that connects via WiFi. Only negatives is that it is easy to slide pin into unit to pop it off the mount, but not sure if camera doorbell theft is a thing? Also, this includes angled backplate to pitch camera down a little, or to the side a little... But doesn't look like you can fit both at the same time. Not a showstopper as the lens is a very wide angle.

Quelle caméra! La qualité d'image est spectaculaire. Mais il faut surtout parler de la grande simplicité d'installation! Wow! Quand j'ai vu le guide de démarrage rapide, je me suis dit, "ouais, pas sûr que ça sera aussi simple...". Bien oui, c'est tellement simple... Une fois l'application en route sur mon téléphone et la sonnette en mode "ON", tout se fait pratiquement automatiquement; le plus compliqué sera de retrouver le mot de passe de votre réseau wifi, :-) Ce que j'apprécie le plus, franchement, c'est le fait de pouvoir accueillir mes visiteurs tout simplement en répondant à la sonnerie de mon téléphone. Et mes visiteurs me confirment qu'il comprennent très bien ce que je leur dis: le son est excellent, et c'est la même chose de mon côté. La seule chose qui m'a causé souci fut de trouver où se cache l'option 'antivol': il s'agit de l'option qui déclenche une alarme dans le cas où quelqu'un essaierait de partir avec votre sonnette. La documentation en ligne qui accompagne la sonnette indique que cette option se trouve dans le menu "Paramètres", mais il s'agit d'un autre modèle de sonnette... Dans le cas de cette sonnette-ci, il faut aller dans les paramètres, puis choisir "Sonnette": vous y trouverez l'option Antivol.

Antes tenia un timbre Ring, no funcionaba como debía, tenia problemas de señal débil WiFi. se perdían notificaciones. Cambie a timbre TP-Link Tapo, y ahora funciona excelente, buena imagen, capta señal WiFi sin problemas y las notificaciones son inmediatas. Muy recomendado
