I originally ordered this belt with the plastic buckle and it was awful, the belt buckle would not stay fastened, and worse, it came off the belt altogether. The elastic was good, but that was all. I returned it and now have the belt with the flip buckle and it’s FAR BETTER. Stays fastened, does not come off the belt and I like the elastic, it’s good, heavy-duty and has the stretch needed to do the job I need it to do while staying comfortable. I gave it 4 stars because I wish there was a way to shorten it... the end is way too long. At the very least, I wish it had a retaining band to secure that very long end where it sits halfway around my waist. Other than that, I’m very happy with this belt, in navy blue, and will work on figuring out how to shorten it without damaging it. I will likely order this again in the khaki and the army green with the same flip buckle.Update: Upon examining the end of the belt, it may be possible to open up the metal clamp on the end JUST ENOUGH to take the end of the belt out of it, shorten it, singe it with a lighter to seal any rough edge or fraying from cutting, and then put the clamp back on the end and press it back together on the end of the belt with pliers - a washcloth put on the clamp to protect it from scratching by the pliers - all done carefully enough to keep the clamp in nice, new unscratched condition. I'll update again once I've tried this, with pix.

Originally I was looking for a traditional canvas / metal clasp traditional military like belt when I saw this online.Loved the look and while the buckle was something new, bend to insert / secure rather than slide thru to secure, I decided to give it a try.Takes a few times to get accustomed but now I find this much more secure than the old style. Buckle is nice and solid in appearance and looks to be something that will last a long time.The belt material is still (it won't bend / fold over) and the stretch is not ' loosey-goosey ' but firm as well. Gives enough snugness w/o loosening.Overall I'm very happy with the purchase so much so that I bought both the tan and black.Great with jeans and slacks alike and can be worn in causal and dressier situations.

They are sturdy and strong like a military nylon web belt, yet offer just enough flex to really grab your waist during activities! They don't even appear as "flex belts" and I would suggest them to any military member who is challenged in keeping his pants tight! For dress or work... RTD - U.S. ARMY Retired.

Maybe it's my body shape, but "I don't do belts well." They really cause me discomfort nearly always. I bought a couple of these belts to have some "give." They actually helped me, and so far, they have been more comfortable and more reliable than I expected. They "seem" well made and right now, I'm quite pleased with my purchase's. Even cinching these belts tightly, I still get some "give." I did cut them down. The ends melt back very easily and smoothly. I really don't have any negatives, at least for now. I'll revise later if something comes up, but I really don't expect any issues even later.

I have the D-ring belt. It's very sturdy with just enough stretch and give without being sloppy or loose. I sometimes have trouble getting the belt and more specifically the elastic keeper band through belt loops of certain pants / shorts, depending on the size of the belt loops. The elastic keeper has to follow the leading edge of the belt around to your right front (vs a traditional belt where the keep is just left of your gig line). The keeper tends to get snagged at each belt loop as your thread the belt through.

It took a while for this belt to arrive (it was shipped from China directly).Nevertheless, the quality seems pretty good, the belt looks nice and overall it is what I expected it to be.I wore it already quite a few times and it still looks like new.So far it deserves five stars.

The buckle is heavy and bulky, and the webbing is too wide for some pant loops.

This belt has a nice hefty well built buckle, no worries that it will break in a few years (or decades). The elastic has just enough give for bending and reaching, but not so much you need to keep pulling your pants up.
