I was so excited to receive this device only to be disappointed.Everything was provided, remote, Power Supply & HDMI Cable (except Batteries).Out of the box, I notice that there were many issues with my scishion Android 8.1 TV Box.This scishion would not stay connected via WIFI and kept dropping the signal.During my first App update (Aptoide TV) it kept giving the error that the update could not complete due to network error, please check your connection.I would have to reconnect over and over again to my WIFI only to have the connection drop.Finally was able to stay connected and tried to use the Google Play store and the remote could not use the virtual keyboard. The mouse button was very spotty at best.I had to connect the Bluetooth keyboard to sign into my Google Account only to discover that most of the apps were not optimized for my scishion device. (Amazon Music).There was no speakers so you had to connect to a sound device via Bluetooth.This was not actually an Android T.V. OS, but more of an Android Tablet OS or ROM. This was noticed when I tried to do an System Update only to have the first of many errors during the update process.After I was able to get a couple of APPs installed then it only got worse with the LAG, most of the applications were stuck and the only remedy was a reboot.This should not have happened on a premium device with 4 gigs of ram, did not feel right and none of the apps ran smoothly. I honestly feel that their are too many bugs inside the scishion and the Android 8.1 OS for this to be a stable or mature device.scishion. My last impression was not an premium experencience at all but left me upset because of the scishion poor performance.The Voice Search was not fully developed and it really never seemed to work for me, leaving me to type in my actual phrases.It is very hard to believe that the 4 gigs or ram ran undelivered.

I was skeptical to buy this box due to lack of reviews. However, I am not regretting it at all. The response time is much better than some other boxes out there due to the increased RAM (maybe newer Android version?). I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and the interface is easy to navigate, apps are easy to install, and overall no annoying random crashes. I have one small complaint but I will not subtract a star, the box does not come with a QWERTY remote as many others do which is a must for these devices. Would be the perfect product if that was included.Edit: I was reading through the comments of people saying their stuff isn't compatible. If you're not familiar with tech and can't even use google don't buy just to leave bad reviews.

I have had 4 smart TV boxes in the last 3 years. Two have failed completely. This one is definitely the fastest to load and has a good interface that is not cluttered with junk apps. The box arrived almost a week early. Definitely buy a QWERTY keyboard for this unit (get one that is backlit). Also get VPN.

This works great if you have a little technical know-how. If you are determined to stick with Android however, this is probably not for you. You will have frequent slowdowns, crashes, and weird glitches. It is an excellent box with Libreelec installed via SD card though. Keep in mind I only use this for Kodi, and Libreelec is strictly for running Kodi. Kodi however has everything I need. I use this to stream movies and TV shows, play retro games via the emulators provided with Kodi 18, and have attached a Hauppauge USB tuner in order to watch OTA TV as well as use it as a DVR to record my favorite shows and sports to SD Card via the web interface. All of that runs fantastically as the 4GB of RAM really put this little device over the top. In total to have the same kind of setup as I do you will need this box ($70), the Hauppauge WinTV-DualHD Dual USB 2.0 HD TV Tuner ($60), and a decent 128GB micro SD card ($25). So for around $150 you will have an entertainment center capable of being a DVR, TV tuner, multiple game system emulator, movie, TV show, and music streamer, as well as Netflix and Amazon Prime viewer if you have subscriptions to those services.

Not great, but OK.It has some really nice h/w specs for the money but:* The first one I received was DOA. The wall wart was delivering power but the box was dead. Amazon replaced it right away, and the second one is working.* I have cat5e strung all over my house and try diligently to minimize WiFi usage. The box will not completely boot up the first time if an active network cable is plugged in upon power-up. The first power-up must be done with the network cable unplugged. Then you can got to settings and disable WiFi and enable wired networking. After that, it will successfully boot up from power-up.* I have yet to find an app in the Google Play Store that does not carry the warning, "This app may not be optimized for your device."* Most apps in the Google Play Store also carry the warning, "Your device isn't compatible with this version"* Maximum size for external storage is 32 GB. So it's not possible to view a movie from an attached USB or SDXC card, It can only be viewed from a network share. At least you can play some of your music, if you're willing to got through the hassle of moving it to such a small storage device.* A real plus for me: it has a stereo A/V jack. My hearing is awful. I need to listen to headphones while other people in the room can listen to surround sound audio from the speakers. Unfortunately I have one of the (countless) AV receivers that can't simultaneously play through speakers and the headphone jack. Kodi is smart enough to send surround sound through HDMI while simultaneously downconverting to stereo and sending that signal through the stereo audio jack.* I can't find any contact info for the manufacturer to ask if/when there will be update to the OS to fix some of the deficiencies.

This box is not a good Android TV box. I waited to fully use before leaving a review. Ethernet no longer works. WiFi totally unstable making streaming and downloading virtually impossible. As a whole, box is cheaply made.
