Nextmug - Temperature-Controlled, Self-Heating Coffee Mug (True Pink - 14 oz.), MMA-1122

I love this cup! Bought this one after my Ember died. The pink is super cute. Most importantly it does not need an app and you control the temperature. At first I had issues with it and had planned to return it but have to admit it was operator error. I decided to try it one more time before I returned it. It comes with a cheap plastic lid which I did not like. The TALL cup comes with a better quality slider open lid. I use THAT one instead. I believe you can special order the better lid. You do NOT need to keep it on the charging pad. It seems to charge fairly quickly (maybe an hour) and the charge lasts in my experience so far is 2-3 hours. I like to use highest setting. If you do not pick it up after a certain time, it will shut off. The temp control is great but keep in mind you have to keep the lid on to keep it at the temp you want. That was my error as well as letting it sit too long without picking it up. I dont like to rush my morning coffee. High temp IS HOT. If you use cream, milk, sugar it may be too hot for that. I noticed it kind of singes and sticks to the bottom inside the cup. I lower the temp when I use milk. Make sure you turn it off when you do not have coffee in it or coffee volume goes down because the last bit of coffee will be ungodly hot. Never leave it on when it is empty. And when you wash it make sure it is completely dry before you put on charger. The cup is 14 ounces which is perfect for Nepresso pods. I love this so much I never ever travel without it. Only down side is it is metal and it might be too heavy for some with hand issues.

It is made nice and sturdy but does not stay hot enough for long enough because the charge does not hold very long. - also only holds 8oz (if you want to add creamer - I use a lot so that may be a me issue). Should have got larger size. I don’t hate it but would likely buy again.

This mug is only worth $20 or they need to make it fully functional for years, not months at $100 price. Super easy to use. Keeps drinks nice and hot and I LOVE the highest hottest/piping/nuclear setting. It heats a cooled half a cup of hot coffee (tea, etc) real fast. I constantly get interrupted and forget to drink my coffee. Just plug it in, charge it up, and you're ready to go. Pay attention to the 3 charging lights to know when it's getting low and needs charging. The hottest setting is piping hot, which I LOVE. This is best used with hot coffee to keep it hot. Once coffee has cooled down or putting cold or room temp coffee in it and expecting it to heat the coffee...meh...it can kinda do it. It takes a while and is a bit much to ask of it to heat a full cooled mug, but it can do it. I like the idea of this mug more than the actual product, but it's ok. I just hope it lasts longer than a year. My sister's entire cup crapped out within a year. Mine still heats at least. After 7 months, the third piping hot setting's light is barely noticeable (dim; no longer bright like the other lights). I like the auto shut-off feature. The hottest setting revives a HALF a cup nicely! It takes a while to get a full room temp cup back to hot. I haven't used it for cold yet, I dislike that the charging lights being on the opposite side of the mug from the handle. I have to turn it completely around every time want to see if it needs charging or is done charging.

For $100 (which is a steep price for a mug) it’s wild for me to say it’s worth it. I purchased this as a gift to myself because as a busy mom, its as simple as I just want a hot cup of coffee. When it’s on it’s pretty great, you can see the steam rising and it sure does the job, the charge lasts for perhaps a full hour when at full battery. There are three settings and the middle setting is the perfect hot. The highest setting is really exceptional. Im a busy mom, and the days of hot coffee in bed are few and far between, so purchasing this was the gift to myself I was hoping for. It’s a shallow mug, due to the base of it taking up space for the battery - If you drink a lot of coffee on the go, get the travelers size which is larger. *** edited to three months later. So after I started using my mug I can’t imagine my life without a constant hot cup of coffee. This mug is my go to every single morning. Durable, it’s been great. One of the springs popped off the charging dock. I emailed customer support and not only did they offer to replace the charging station free of charge, they were speedy in the reply and easy to work with. Definitely would purchase from this company again. Thank you!
