As promised the quiet cool is very quiet
As promised the quiet cool is very quiet! However, I based my purchase off of the fact that my house is 2700 sq ft, and this unit was supposed to be good for houses up to 3000 sq ft. It is NOT! I can cool my house off better by putting box fans in the windows. Because we installed the system ourselves, I thought that maybe my husband did something wrong. I called a professional installer who came in and said that it is in fact installed correctly, but to really get the desired results we need to either 1) install a larger system, or 2) install an additional smaller unit to work with the already installed system. He did give some helpful tips, like to close the windows most of the way, and only have a few windows open to improve the suction of the air flow. Either way, it still doesn't cool the house as expected. Maybe a bigger unit would have worked better..... but who has money to buy another unit!

Super quiet
This whole house fan does the job, and does it quietly. they made the installation as simple as it can be, but you better know what you're doing, or call a professional.make sure you have enough room in your attic, I'd recommend 4 or 5 ft. minimum height directly above the desired location. can be done with less, but it would be hard.post installation - the system is super quiet, and reduced my AC usage in the house by probably 50%. for really hot summer days, you'll still need AC, but the fan is really useful at evenings, when the outside air is cool enough and the home is still hot. open a window at the first floor, start the fan, and get the nice breeze feeling in less than 3-4 minutes.

Love my Quiet Cool system
I absolutely love our quiet cool system. We have about a 2500 square foot house (2 levels) and this works great! You can barely hear it. we attached it to a timer so we can set it to run for only a couple of hours while we sleep. Definitely recommend this product to others.

Quiet Cool Fan 1000
We love the fan. It works great, helps a lot cooling off the house. We live in the San Joaquin Valley of California and the fan makes a big difference.
