One of the best tools in my crafting room because of the push down center grip and metal edge
This has become of of my all time favorite crafting tool in my craft room. I often use rulers to center things and get straight lines....but I really love this ruler with the metal edge. I can even tear paper with it and get a nice straight edge. The centering tool is great too...although it is super super tiny and hard to see (had to use reading like glasses at the dollar store to see the marking more easily)....but it is helpful to use when you need something centered. I do love that feature. But the best feature is the push down center where it has a rubber grip on the bottom so that once you press down, your paper won't shift, and you can get a perfect line every time. It also is great if you are using it with a crafting knife...not only does the metal edge work great with this, but with the push down center, not only will it keep your paper from shifting, but it keeps your fingers up and away from the blade. It really is one of the best tools in my craft room and I would really recommend this to any crafter...especially if you use crafting knifes for straight edges.

PERFECT TOOL FOR PERFECT LAYERING of PAPER EVERY TIME!!!!
I love this tool. When you lay your paper out and choose the size you want, move it up against your paper and then cut, it is the perfect size every time. I never have to guess if I got it perfect on all four sides just by eyeballing it. It is much faster than trying to guess by using just a ruler or whatever. This size has all the sizes of paper that I would use especially for my albums and etc. You will not know how you ever did without it once you buy and use it. Perfect tool for all paper crafters.

Great paper-crafting tool
This is an excellent ruler that truly does keep your paper aligned and precisely where you want it once you press the No-Slip Grip bar down. It performs exactly as described for that function. I do a LOT of cutting with an X-acto knife and this has improved my accuracy greatly. The metal edge is absolutely flush with the table surface and this feature eliminates the shadow you can get from a cork-backed metal ruler. It also makes tearing paper to get a ragged edge a breeze. I took away one star because the clear edge marked in centimeters is also supposed to be a centering ruler. While the ruler is marked for that purpose, the numbers are so tiny as to be virtually unreadable. I'll stick with my Tim Holz ruler for that purpose.

Works Perfectly
I found it extremely easy to use right out of the package. I was anxious to see how it handled 1/16" borders, so I chose a 1/16" border as my first mat. It is amazing someone didn't think of it sooner. I agree it is a bit overpriced for a set of three rulers without metal edges. However, it's worth the cost for those who desire making time saving professional borders. It has already found a home on my craft desk.

RULER LOCKS IN PLACE - ACCURATE CUTS EVERY TIME!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
This ruler is GREAT!!! It is slightly heavier than a typical 12" metal ruler, with a mechanism in the middle you lightly push down that "locks" the paper from moving (the orange plastic that goes the length of the ruler, see product photo). I no longer need to worry about the ruler slipping while I'm cutting with an x-acto knife! This works very well on all kinds of paper and card stock. I was very impressed with how easy this ruler enabled me to accurately cut cellophane and polypropylene!! These are very slippery products and it always was very difficult to keep a ruler from slipping while cutting. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT for anyone who does a lot of straight edge hand cutting with an x-acto knife. This has really been a time saver for me. I only wish this ruler came in a larger 18" or 24" length size!!

I give Perfect Paper Crafting PR100 Perfect Ruler a 5 star on ...
I give Perfect Paper Crafting PR100 Perfect Ruler a 5 star on how wonderful it works and so easy to use! Unfortunately, I give (my 1st one) only 2 stars....first time I used it, I was loving the performance and ease of it, accidently I bumped it after using it and it fell on the floor.......broke!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! But, I liked the ruler so much, I ordered another one!!!!!!! I probably should hang it from my neck so it doesn't get knocked off my Art table anymore! Hehehe....

Not Exactly as Described
The description states that this tool "Cuts, trims and edges cards..." To say that this tool does the actual cutting is misleading. The tool doesn't have a blade on it like a regular paper cutter (which is what I wanted). YOU do the cutting with another tool. When I tried to tear paper down the side of the ruler, it made a great ragged trim, which I like since I make cards. But since I was expecting something else, I was disappointed. I gave it three stars b/c it does function well as a gripper for the paper. And I feel stupid that I am apparently the only one who thought it was a paper cutter as well as a ruler (-; . But I did want to warn people in case they believe the description.

I am delighted with this product
I am delighted with this product. My problem has been centering a layer on top of another. It's easy to cut accurate layers but I could just not get the top layer centered. With this product you apply the top layer and then use the rulers to cut around the piece. I read that some had trouble catching the edge of the ruler on their paper. I resolved this with a piece of tape by post-it. It comes in one inch width. It is bright blue and bright yellow. It does not leave a residue on paper or photographs. By applying it right along the edge of the top layer of paper it gives just enough lift to catch the ruler firmly so you get perfect cuts every time. A nice sharp xacto blade helps too. Really pleased with the pictures I have matted today.
