Tea Rose by Perfumers Workshop for Women - 3.4 oz EDT Spray

The smell is amazing I purchased it three times I probably do more

It isn't particularly complex on the skin but with rose that really isn't an issue - such an authentic creation of the scent of a large rose bush in full bloom on a thundery day in the garden can easily stand alone. This is a rather strong perfume and due to sensitivities I'm sadly unable to use it as a body fragrance so instead I'm using it as a beautiful room and fabric scent. After I've sprayed it on the front door curtain, it produces a truly gorgeous waft of roses each time it is opened. It would also be lovely sprayed on freshly washed linen and bedspreads stored in the airing cupboard. I had fresh red roses in a vase recently and a guest arrived and they immediately pointed to and commented on "the beautiful scent of the roses", so this is testimony to its very authentic rose fragrance. A lovely creation at just the right price point - I would compare it to Jo Malone's "Red Roses" although happily the sillage of Tea Rose beats hers hands down, so if you're looking for another authentic rose scent, here it is.

Almost photorealistic scent, smells like a rose with its stem. Green, natural and a little bit harsh which is true to life. If you’re used to more rounded smoother and sweeter roses found in perfume it can be a challenging wear. I think for the price it’s a no brainer to try and maybe you’ll find a new love, at worse you’ll find a cheap decently performing perfume that you can use to spray on foul smelling furniture or stinky bathrooms.

Although - somehow I feel like it’s not the original- it feels close enough for me to be a repeat purchaser becos the original is heaven!! Somebody correct me if I am wrong about the lingering funny undertone!! - not soo subtle / it’s like an after taste to a beautiful cake you love and know!! I mean you will buy it becos you love eating that particular cake🤷🏽‍♀️!!

Very harsh and unpleasant strong smell

I like rose perfumes and was looking for a replacement for the sadly discontinued Paul Smith Rose. Very good reviews of this but at the price I didn't have great expectations,but cheap enough to blind buy. So glad I did, it is wonderful, a linear but very accurate "green" rose that has surprisingly good longevity on my perfume eating skin. As this has been in production since 1977 and everyone seems to think it still smells the same as always, I'm hopeful it wouldn't fall victim to the horrendous reformulations so many scents have gone through.

I don’t know what I was expecting but I know it’s good for toilet and towel. Very strong rose smell . A bit too strong .

Like most of my fellow customers, I loved this perfume in the 80s. My sister gave me the eau de parfum version and it came in an opaque dark grey bottle. Very classic-looking back then and the perfume was strong so all I needed was 2 short sprays and that lasted a good 24 hours. I was delighted to see this perfume back on the market. The packaging is more basic, it is far more reasonably priced than I remember and it is just an eau de toilette but the smell is exactly the same and the eau de toilette also lasts very long. It is just as delightful as it was before - makes you feel like you are standing in a garden filled with fragrant old-fashioned English roses - and it brings back so many happy memories. I hope it remains on the market as I will definitely buy it again when this bottle runs out.
