Sleek, sexy, silent and very functional!
Can a sink be described as “sexy”?? This one absolutely can! We just remodeled our kitchen and when it came to sink design, I wanted a single pan farmhouse sink, but hubby, who washes the dishes insists on having a sink full of soapy water. I compromised with this 60/40 Kraus stainless with a low dividing wall. It looks sleek and stylish... sexy really. I was slightly concerned that the square design might have tight corners that would be hard to keep clean but they are rounded just enough to not catch food in them and can be wiped clean easily. The bottom is angled toward the drains so water does not stand in the bottom. The drains are toward the back of the sink - again just a beautiful design. Stainless sinks are notoriously noisy... especially with water from the faucet. NOT THIS ONE! It is just as quiet as my old porcelain sink thanks to the insulation around the entire undercarriage. The sink comes with wire racks that have rubber feet (extra feet included) that prevent scratches on the bottom and matching stainless disc covers that sit slightly elevated above the holes so you can’t see the pipes. Love these! I love that you don’t have to look down into the garbage disposer! Water and small bits of debris washes down easily with them in place. It comes with a very nice strainer basket for the non-disposer side. My only complaint is that if you have a garbage disposer, (as if anyone buying this sink would not...) this sink doesn’t come with a ring that matches the sink that holds the disposal. Which I understand... every disposer is different. But, as long as you have the pretty discs in place, you can’t see the “inSinkerator” ring. This sink is big. I can lay a 9x13” casserole baking dish flat in the large side and let it soak. The low dividing wall is not only gorgeous, but you can lay cookie sheets or cutting boards in the sink and easily clean them. I’m able to use the interior racks as a dish drying rack for my clean pots & pans. As with all stainless, water spotting is an issue. This sink comes with a cool microfiber drying cloth for this purpose and it has a removable metal ring in it that lets you hang it up on a hook. I’ve found that after cleaning and drying, buffing the sink with a little lemon oil makes it shine like a new car and keeps water spots down for a few days till it’s time to reapply. Plus it smells amazing. I purchased the Kraus black mat Industrial faucet shown here, also from Amazon and it’s match made in heaven!!!

Stunning, great craftsmanship, excellent value
Our sink came within 3 days of ordering it. It’s absolutely beautiful. It’s more of a squared off shape, versus the typical rounded sink. It has 40/60 sink compartments (the larger compartment is on the right hand side). The metal racks look very sleek at the bottom of the sink and will certainly aid in preventing scratches. Plus, it allows you to use one side of the sink for drying (dishes are hidden, unless you walk over to the sink), so we are ditching the drying pad next to the sink! However, the racks do make drying the sink a bit more of a hassle. We’ve had stainless steel sinks and appliances in our kitchens for years. I had read some reviews where folks complained about the water spots. Yes, it definitely acts like stainless- it absolutely shows water spots. I think part of the reason water spots show so obnoxiously in this particular sink is because it has more of a shiny/chrome finish. Plus, it’s super deep and wide, which means there is a lot more surface area requiring wiping down. So, just know what you are getting yourself into. If you want the cool, commercial chef style sink- expect the annoying water spot problem that comes with this size of sink. I do wish the bottom of the sink had a bit more angle to it- as the water tends to pool in various spots. My old kitchen sink could be dried with one paper towel. This will require more like 3-4 paper towels to dry. And, because it’s so deep, water splatters all over the sink basin. It’s very quiet - a nice heavy gauge metal, which doesn’t have the cheap “ping” that lesser quality sinks produce. In addition, the entire underside of the sink has some type of rubber coating applied to it with the sides covered in a thick rubber pad. That’s about the most you could ask for. For the price, this sink is a real value! Oh, and instead of the usual sink plug, it comes with a very different cup style strainer to catch food particles. You can seal the drain hole with a stopper that fits over the small removable strainer. But, just know even the drain is unique. Did I mention it’s beautiful? We bought a very commercial looking Kraus faucet and sprayer to go with the sink and the combination is very slick. Everyone compliments this sink - faucet combo. It will truly be the focal point of any kitchen remodel!

Very high quality, useful sink
This is a great sink! Both sides are the same dimensions. The sinks are big enough to handle even our largest skillets. The sinks are quite deep, effectively hiding dirty dishes if you can't get them into the dishwasher or hand wash them right away. The sinks come with stainless steel grates that sit at the bottom of the sinks, protecting the bottoms from scratching and also facilitating the drying of hand washed items. The sinks are also sound insulated, keeping kitchen noise limited from banging dishes or pots and pans against the wall. The insulation also contributes to quieter dishwasher operation as ours is right next to the sink. My wife and I both like to cook. These sinks make even the biggest clean ups very easy, and so far, they are still very shiny and scratch free as we avoid using anything more abrasive than a nylon Dobie scrubber on them. The green scouring pads will scratch these in an instant. I love this double sink! For the faucet, we went with the Delta 9159-AR-DST in Arctic Stainless. It has a high arched neck, with a pull down sprayer. It goes really well with the sinks, yet doesn't have that really industrial look to it. The water pressure is very good. We're very happy with the faucet, too.

Love this sink!
Love this sink! We just remodeled our kitchen and switxhed from a porcelain sink to this one. I spent a long time trying to find the right sink for us. I looked everywhere to find what we wanted. We had originally purchased a 60/40 split black stainless farmhouse apron style sink but then discovered that it would bot work in our kitchen. Lesson learned. My husband was adamant that we get a 60/40 split whixh was hard to find. We also had to stick to 32" or less. This one has that plus the low divide which gives the best of a split bowl and a single bowl. I can wash the big things since the divide is low. I had it mounted flush to the quartz countertop for a sleek look. The drains are nice and deep and the caps that come with it give it a great look. This so k is also super quiet for a stainless! It is very well made and sturdy. The included grates will help protect the bottom. Overall I just loce this sink! I added the over the sink drying rack myself. It rolls up and is not included. My husband picked it up at the store. Bottom line is if you are on the market for a stainless steel sink, this is one of the best if not the best choices!

HUGE space, normal footprint, shows water spots
Love almost everything about this sink. My only quibble is with the finish. I prefer brushed steel to polished, because it doesn't show water spots as easily. Otherwise, it's a fabulous sink. While having the same footprint as our old Kohler porcelain-on-cast iron overmount sink, it has much more usable space. This is largely due to the flat base and zero radius corners. Our Kohler was almost 10" deep, but had a more normal profile, with very rounded corners and walls that curved down into the base. It really is quite amazing how much larger the two basins in this one feel. My largest 12" frypans fit flat in the smaller basin with room to spare. As for construction, Kraus sinks are made with 16 gauge steel, compared to the thinner 18-20 gauge steel used by other sink makers. Even the high end sinks with big price tags aren't usually made with steel this thick. The sink arrived very well packed and was further protected from scratches by a soft flannel bag. The men who installed it (along with our granite counters) commented that it was a LOT heavier than other sinks they've installed. One of them walked over to the box, looked at it and said "16 gauge? No wonder it weighs a ton!" It's also a fairly quiet sink, with a decent amount of insulation. But it *is* a steel sink and if you're used to porcelain covered iron or steel, you'll notice that it's louder. All stainless sinks are louder than porcelain. Thanks to a suggestion by another reviewer "g" to test the drain level, we did have our installers raise the front edge of the sink to improve drainage and are glad we did. We used marine grade (rust-proof) stainless steel washers, stacked double high, to raise the front by ¼". With that, the sink drains almost perfectly. A little bit of water still remains in the channels, but not much. The sink comes with 2 drain baskets. One of them is wonderful, absolutely unique, but sadly, we couldn't use it with our plumbing. The dish racks that are included are very nice. We've kept the rack in the large basin, taking out the rack in the smaller one, where our garbage disposal is. We didn't want to be fighting the rack to rinse waste into the disposal. The rack in the large basin is nice for drying large frypans and tall items in an upright position. I simply lean them against the wall; the grid keeps them from sliding down. Sweet! We also bought (here on Amazon) an amazing faucet, the TF Brassworks High End Deck Mount in brushed nickel. I highly recommend it over other pre-rinse faucets. Read the reviews, you'll see why. It looks and works amazing with the new sink, like they were made for each other. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Brushed-Nickel-Kitchen-Faucet-Sprayer/dp/B001CKLUBU/ref=cm_cr-mr-title Overall, I'm very happy with the sink, but still wish it were available in a brushed finish.

I LOVE this quality Kraus sink!
I adore this fantastic QUALITY sink! I am SO GLAD I spent the $ on this! Get this instead of a farmhouse sink for ease of installation, and ease of cleaning because it is stainless. packaging was awesome! A deep double sink for the at home chef. Accessories with this sink make the sink a practical luxury item, you will love using every day, like I do. The grooves in the sink bottom help it drain efficiently, which means the dirty water won't end up mucking up the sink. This sink comes with 2 stainless racks that fit in the sink compartments. These keep dishes from hitting the sink bottom( thus protecting your sink) AND they serve to act as a drying rack for items after dishes have been washed. If I have dishes drying in the sink , they're out of sight ! The drain has a deep perforated metal basket to catch particles you don't want going down the drain- this little basket is easy to remove, and tap to clean out those bits one might prefer not to touch. a bonus dish towel was also included, along with a set of extra bumpers for the sink racks. Installation: installation was straight forward. One comment the installer had, was due to the weight (quality!) of the sink, one needed to keep extra clips / straps to support it. This wasn't a problem, just a comment he made. Remember also that the depth of the sink will influence your plumbing under the sink - we put this model sink in a 36" base cabinet. Check that your disposal, piping and pea trap, supply plumbing are coordinated with the sink. Let your installer know it's a deep sink, and your plumber too.

Used - Good - Item will come in original unopened packaging
DO NOT BUY THIS SINK! IT IS DEFECTIVE! Ad states, "Condition: Used - Good - Item will come in original unopened packaging. May have small scratches (Less than 10%) on the bottom of the sink. Item has no cracks or dents. All accessories are present and undamaged. Pictures show examples of sink condition. Actual blemishes may vary, sink sold as is." They fail to tell you that the sink does not drain properly. The water pools at all corners of the sink. The only way for it make it to completely drain is to physically pull the water that pools to the drain with your hand or a squeegee. Otherwise the water pools at the corners until it evaporates. YUCK! The seller's ad is deceptive. I have tried to contact them, but they do not reply. Here's what KRAUS had to say about it. "Hi Sandra, Thank you for your email and for providing us with visuals of your sink. We reviewed your invoice and noticed your sink was purchased in a Used/Like New condition through Amazon which is not covered by a manufacturer's warranty. (Must be sold in a NEW condition to be covered under warranty). However, this is a flat bottom sink with a 1/8 inch slope and some pooling may occur due to the flat edges. We recommend applying a coating on the sink surface (Hope's Perfect Sink works well) help reduce the pooling you are noticing. Please let us know if you would have any additional questions or concerns. Thanks, KrausUSA, Inc. 12 Harbor Park Dr. Port Washington, NY 11050 Office: (800) 775-0703 Fax: (516) 621-8900 Email: [email protected] For product information and product registration visit: http://www.kraususa.com Thank you for choosing Kraus" Kraus doesn't mind selling an inferior product. Who the heck wants a flat bottom sink?! No where in the description does it reveal this very important detail about the sink being a "flat bottom, 1/8 inch slope and pooling occurs at the flat edges"

Muy grande y bonita
Es muy buena, tiene muchos accesorios útiles, hasta ahora que llevo utilizándola (2 meses) no presenta ningún problema. Muy recomendada, aunque yo la compré a la mitad de precio a lo que está actualmente.

Stellar sink in both quality and design
This 32 inch sink remains my best Amazon purhase ever. I've used it extensively for over 2 years and it remains spotless. I had come across some criticisms regarding being too flat on the bottom result in difficulty rinsing and ugly scratches developing over time. Neither of those concerns reared themselves. Any superficial scratches that may have appeared were meaningless if at all perceptible. The bottom flatness has actually been a huge plus. All my dishes lay flat, no space is lost in the corners and the diagonal creases give it an outstanding contemporary feel. In addition, the half height 60/40 divider makes organizing and cleaning an absolute breeze. I know this will last me a life and even if it doesn't, I'll be being the exact same model again regardless of price.

Beautiful, good quality sink
Its a big sink and is of very nice quality. I have to been using it for a month now, and the only issue I see is that the strainer covering the drain rusts a little, leaving orange marks at the edges. The sink is deep and washing large pots is easy, but cleaning the sink itself is a bit harder due to its depth that my previous sink.
