I had to adapt this to make it work, but it is working great as adapted
I admit my need for this was not typical. I was not locking cabinet, but closet doors and am very pleased that this is working. However, it fit the closet doors fine and should have been able to hold them shut considering that the length of the straps was more than sufficient for my use. However, the lock easily slipped when the closet doors were pulled on with a force that a little one could give. I ended up drilling small holes in the straps where I wanted them to stay and wrapping through the holes white wire baggie ties like the kind that attach toys to their boxes. These baggie ties keep the straps from sliding through and the closet has stayed shut when we've latched it now for months. Very glad this product is on the market. Would like to see more like it--and this one fixed to where it can hold without the adaptation.

This is meh.
Ok so we’ve a tight time keeping our 5 ur old from breaking into my hone office. Still looking for the right product. This one promised but didn’t deliver. It keeps my 3 yr old away, but still not the five, and it’s flimsy enough that a strong push will break it apart. It doesn’t actually “break” but one of the insert bands will slide out of the slot, with the lock part still intact. We still use it to represent a locked door, but it doesn’t really keep a child out.

Best damn lock
Ok. So these are the best ever.im not saying that without proof. My husband is a lock Smith and his business partner is as well. He has a few friends as well that are too. 4 grown men who are locksmiths. Could not figure this thing out.Now just to help clear these mens names I decided to ask a friend of mine who is a mother herself. I figure hell maybe it's a womans intuition thing....well I would be damned the thing had her befuddled as well.I highly recommend it to all....and should your child figure it out. Well send them to my husband in 18 years for a job lol.

Good for price.
Using on our pantry French doors and toddler can force it open by pushing hard on the door - latch will slip with a bit of force. Still works well to discourage him from entering pantry but not 100% barrier. Would work better on cabinetry where you can’t push it open with body weight.

Good/bad
Keeps our 2 year olds closet closed. It's easy to remove with one hand but definitely takes 2 to close it and the side that stays on the handle falls off easily. You also have to re-tighten it each time. It is definitely serving it's purpose but does have a few downfalls.

Functions properly
This is basically two zip ties held in place by the unit being locked. If it's not locked each side does not stay hooked to whatever. It functions fine but it's to tedious for what I bought it for because I wanted each to hold it's position

Does the job, could be better
Not as good as some other locks we have. This one is impossible to open one handed and you have to tighten it every time you lock it back. It does the job but could be better.

Clever Product
Love this! Clearly I didn’t read the description when I bought it. I didn’t realize it had an “invisible” release, I struggled for a minute figuring it out. LOL. I would buy again!
