Presidential historical good reads
Each book in this series is so different one from the other in style but good reads none the less. McCullough writes with an easy style that is enticing. The 3 presidents in this series also have a common thread in that they all tended to be their own persons and speak frankly about their opinions and hopes for our country. Enjoy!

Perfect series! Minor issue!
Absolute perfect series, no doubt! Only this edition had a weak case for the three books and fell apart on my bookshelf!

McCullough presidential biographies
Well written and engaging historical biographies. A glimpse into the real life of larger than life persons and the amazing times they lived in.

Three truly outstanding, well researched biographies
The Adams and Truman biographies are outstanding. I have read biographies of about 20 US presidents and several of Vice Presidents. These two rank at the top. The Theodore Roosevelt is well researched; it is certainly the best coverage of Teddy Roosevelt's youth, up age 27. I found it to be an excellent companion or supplement to H.W. Brands T.R. The Last Romantic.

My Son Enjoyed Opening This Set on Christmas
David McCullough is a known quantity. When we saw this set we thought of our youngest son. The price was reasonable. Nathan really seemed to enjoy receiving it on Christmas day.

I've read most of the author's books over the years, and this trio in one package is the perfect gift for my son.
