Invaluable resource for Thinkers, Writers and Speakers.
“Grit and Grace” is the book I’ve been waiting for. When I heard that Quotabelle was working on a sequel to their first book – “Beautifully Said” – I was anxious to see what they’d come up with next. What a delight to find that this second book of their series is just as good as their first. “Grit and Grace” is a bounty of quotes by inspiring women with rich descriptions about their lives and motivations. This book is like going to a party where you’ll meet the world’s most interesting women and girls.- Meet Marie Curie: “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood.”- Hang with Jane Goodall: “Only when our clever brain and our human heart work together in harmony can we achieve our full potential.”- Banter with Cher: “All of us invent ourselves. Some of us just have more imagination than others.”Authors, Pauline Weger and Alicia Williamson, are known for painstaking research and fact-checking. “Grit and Grace” is a gold mine of intelligence, humor, inspiration and accurate information. This is not a “women’s-only” book. Buy it for the men in your life, too. We are all equal in our quest to make this world better place.

Superb collection
We buy books for a variety of reasons: to entertain, to inspire, to educate. But, we also buy books to cause action. From the page to our brain to our bodies, the best books show us a new way to live and challenge us to live that life. Grit and Grace does just that. Quotations from the famous and not-so-famous, all the women here share a common desire to get out and do something, and inspired by their actions and their words, we can do the same. When the copy of Grit and Grace arrived, my daughter read through it, and then immediately asked if she could give it to her favorite teacher, someone who has encouraged her to take action and solve problems she sees around her. I recommend this book so you can do the same.

Leadership Perspectives for and by Women
As an avid quote collector, this is another excellent addition to my bookshelf. More than 85% of my students at a large university are women and I am always looking to inspire them. This book provides words of wisdom from women from an array of areas, from the arts to industry, from government to sports. As you would expect from the ladies at Quotobelle, all the quotes are appropriately sourced and have an engaging story that accompanies each one. The book is beautifully designed and organized under themes that make it easy to find what you need. It would make an outstanding gift for the recent college grad or someone seeking to take that next big career step.

Another beautiful and inspiration book from Quotabelle!
Love this book as much as the first book. It is a beautiful tribute to the many women throughout history who have struggled, overcome odds and always found strength along the way. I've been reading the book slowly, so as to savor each of the 90 women's personal story and accompanying life-affirming quotation. As with Beautifully Said, this is the perfect book to give as a gift . . . to be treasured for years to come. As timeless as these remarkable stories are, this is a time when girls and women need to stand taller, be braver and challenge the norm and this book provides the perfect stepping stone.

Inspiring personal stories & insights
Grit & Grace is a beautifully curated collection of quotes and stories from inspiring women. When I had to write papers in school, I would search for great quotes to make a point. If you search, you will find that a small percentage of quotes are attributed to women. Now (finally), there is a resource that compiles ideas/quotes from a range of women that really make you think. The eclectic collection ranges from Jane Goodall to Venus Williams to Madeleine Albright to Taylor Swift. However, my favorite aspect of the book is the pairing of the quotes with concise biographical profiles that highlight what makes each woman and her story so special.

The Quotabelle Crew has done it again!
Since having a daughter, I've been conscious of introducing my child to strong, intelligent female role models whose power lies in their minds rather than their beauty. I found it surprisingly difficult, however, to find engaging texts that did not include the typical "damsel in distress" archetype. Enter, Quotabelle. Annalisa and I have loved reading both of their colorful and inspiring books together before bedtime, and I use the vignettes to remind her what is truly important to leading a successful and happy life. Grit & Grace is a perfect follow-up to Beautifully Said, and I can't wait to share it with all the incredible women in my life.

Celebration of women's stories and words
This little book is a lovely collection of quotes from inspiring women, some well-known and some more obscure. Quotabelle's mission is to increase the number of quotations from women and girls in circulation (the percentage is surprisingly low), and I also appreciate that they include brief-but-informative bios to introduce readers to the women being quoted. This book is great to display in your office as a conversation piece and flip through for occasional inspiration. It's a cute coffee table book but also actually thoughtfully put together. I bought one for myself and I am considering getting another as a gift for a colleague. Love it!

Worthy of 10 stars
It’s difficult to cleverly put into words how I like a book on quotes, but I’ll try. I found “Grit and Grace” very uplifting. I enjoy reading quotes, and having a quick synopsis on the author behind each quote is both interesting and helpful. I have already given this book to multiple women for gifts, and each one has been delighted. I can’t pick my favorite quote because I feel each one means something to me. Great job – I think it deserves 10 stars!

Gift
I purchased this as a gift to a good friend. She was going through a rough period and she saw this book when we went to the book store and started to read it. We didn't purchase at that time but I knew she wanted it so later that night went here on Amazon and found the book and had it primed over the next day. The smile on her face was worth it
