Excellent set for the price
Built cabinets for a new kitchenette in my basement, and used these to make the shaker style doors. Had a little tear-out but I attribute that to the quality of material.. the center notch is closer to 5/16” than 1/4”- 1/4 ply is pretty sloppy in the doors. But if you’re milling panels you should be good.I bought this set thinking I had ordered a 5/16 center shank on the last set by accident (Rockler set) but it was identical. In fact, quality of this set was right there with my Rockler set- which was about twice the price. In fact, I interchanged the pieces cut from both sets and they were very, very close. A little sanding and you couldn’t tell which one cut which. Excellent wooden box for storage- much nicer than how my Rockler set shipped. I will likely buy this brand going forward.

I used these on red oak and they worked fine. Like any tool most of your results depend ...
I only had 4 doors to do so I didn't want to spend 100.00 on a bit set. I used these on red oak and they worked fine. Like any tool most of your results depend on how you use it. I had to use some of the enclosed shims to get a tight fit on the rail ends, and I made several test cuts to get everything set up correctly. I made at least 3 passes on every cut, about 1/8" each time and they fit very well. Like someone else said be sure to check the nuts for tightness, mine were loose so I checked them after every few cuts. My only complaint is that there was a Allen wrench in the box, which I guess was intended to hold the shaft while you tighten the nuts, but the shafts on mine are not machined for the Allen wrench. I just used the router to hold them when I tightened the nut so no big deal really. I suppose their not good enough for tool snobs but I'd recommend them for the average weekend woodworker.

Great router bits but be sure to learn proper set up.
These bits do a great job of making shaker style cabinet doors. However, you must set up the bits exactly at the correct height on your router table. there are a number of youtube videos showing exactly how to set these bits up correctly.

Really good for the price
I’ve made raised panel doors off and on for the last 25 years or so. I got tired of the Roman Ogee and raised panel and started doing flat pieces of plywood, it was just easier. My original set of raised panel bits was well over $300 when I bought them years ago. These bits are just as good as those original orange bits, and a fraction of the price. My bits did not need shimmed or adjusted and produced a really clean cut in red oak.

Excellent Value
I'm the first to admit that I am pretty much a novice on the routing front but have worked with wood for many, many years so I have a good idea of what works and what doesn't. For the price, the Yonico router bits are a great option for a good price. There is no question that it is possible to spend more money for some other brands and I might consider that if I were a professional wood worker but for the average user these are probably more than you will ever need. The bits came quickly and were as described. They appeared to be well machined and durable (time will tell but all indications are good). I'm running several of the Yonico bits (from smaller to large 3" bits ½" shank) with a 3 ¼ hp Triton router - all run true without vibration and consistently provide clean cuts. They are well sharpened when the arrive - again time well tell how they hold their edge but at the price if they get average wear I'll be happy and would replace them with more of the same. A few reviewers have made some negative comments but thus far my experiences haven't confirmed any of the problems noted so they may anomalies or a matter of particular use or circumstance. I've been making raised panel cabinet doors without any problem and couldn't be happier with these bits. It might be possible that some of the negative experiences have come from a poor match between some of the larger bits and an under-powered router (particular if they are ¼" shank) - there is no question that can create poor performance regardless of the router bit brand. For my money - these bits are great and do the job.

So far so good for now, but...
I know I gave it a 3 star rating, but, it's more like a 3.5 rating....The 2 router bits came in a nice box, which I didn't know I was getting. But I also got 2 thin washers ? There are no tips, no hints, no instructions. Nothing !I don't know which bit is for the rail and which is for the stile ?And what are the washers for ? Where do they go ? This is my 1st set of 1/2" shank router bits to use with my new router & table.I wanted to learn how to make cabinet doors. Well there is a lot of trial-and-error !!And a lot of wood & adjustmentsStill have not built a cabinet door yet, just working with 3/4" stockPoplar and it's frustrating. It just would have helped a lot if there were some tips, hints or tricks or instructions to make this more enjoyable. But it does seem to be a good product itself ?

Great Quality
This item was great quality however, it was ordered incorrectly as we needed a 1/4 in shank - so we had to return it for the correct size.
