Our daughter, age 10, has been on allergy and asthma medicine since she was two. She very athletic, but her growth is poor and she hase become one of the smallest in her age, which really hurts the potential to excel to scholarship level in the sports she participates in. It is a proven fact these drugs stunt growth and cause early puberty. After getting an allergy test we discovered she is very allergic to dust mites, plus somewhat allergic to every type of weed and grass she was tested for, as well as cat and dog, which we have. Bed time was always a chore trying to get her nose to dry up enough she could sleep, then in the middle of the night she would wake up completely stuffed up call for her mom to come help her. My daughter has not taken a single allergy or asthma drug in the 1 1/2 weeks we have owned this product. It is a night and day difference. If she is out and becomes stuffed up before bed, it only takes 20 minutes in bed with the machine running beside her bed and she clears up. Doesn't wake up at all during the night, and in the morning she is clear. This is the first time in her life things have been so good. Yea the machine and the filters are expensive, but so is a lot of doctor trips and medicine. My only complaint is why didn't you have this product 6 years ago! At age, 10 puberty has already started. She will probably be short her whole life, so it looks like she going to have to focus on a scholastic scholarship. But at least she has her health back. When we are certain she has quit growing we might do allergy shots, but not until she quits growing, because they require the meds which stunt growth. Doctors aren't too worried about growth stunting, because they refer to the charts and claim your kid is still within the normal chart. They don't tell you the lower end of the chart is very short and in non-physician eyes, is abnormal. Great machine, just wish we had it sooner. A little more, as to the review which said it is loud, it is about the same as a Honeywell hepa filter on its lowest setting. I do not think it is loud at all. Voices to not have to be raised when talking around it. It maybe expensive, but you get what you paid for, which if you need disinfected, pure air it gives it too you and no other product I have used comes close, It appears to be built to last a life time. 7/1/15 I continue to be impressed with this machine. Best built device and functioning machine I have purchased in many years. The sound it makes is soothing and perfect to sleep to, and over rides sounds from outside the room, so we can talk normally when our daughter is a sleep with door open. We even take it on trips, which it is not designed for. Maybe they could eventually make a smaller traveling one.

I bought this to control odors in the room where I have my cats' litterboxes. Considering the high cost of this thing, I expected it to work better than my smaller, much less expensive air cleaners. It didn't. I don't think it worked as well as my smaller air cleaners. In fact, I could feel very little air coming out of the this thing making me think that it was cleaning and circulating very little air. I sent it back.

Excellent air filter. Helps with allergies and congestion and much better than our Fellowes and Honeywell filters. The filter percentage went down by about 1% a day while we had it running continuously in our bed room, and so the skeptic in me assumed the count down was some sort of automatic program intended to lure me into reordering filters faster. When it went down to 0% I paid no attention but kept it running ... And then about a week after that I realized our room didn't smell as clean and my nose was stuffier. So it definitely works. Four stars due to pricy filters and annoying blue light coming out of the top.

Seems to be making a difference but so far not as dramatic a change for me as pointed out in other reviews. Build quality is excellent as all materials appear to be heavy duty and fit well together. I am using it on the upper level (about 900 sf) of a 2 level townhouse. Disappointed in the noise level. I would equate it with a dishwasher. I would not buy it again unless price was about 1/2 of what i paid.

I am a severe asthma due to allergies sufferer. This is a game changer for me in my home. I have forced hot air heating and a dog so this time of year in Maine there can be a lot of dust in the air. I took a flash light in the dark shining it while looking in the beam and there is almost no dust floating. Big win for me. This is well worth the money including the price of the filter maintenance. The product support was also 5 stars. I didn't have any issues with it at all and it has been running 24/7 since it was taken out of the box. I am this much closer to my very own oasis from all the allergens that put me in the hospital. A big jump in the right direction.

Updated: All these months on and machine is unremarkable. Most critically, the noise - remember, there is only an on and off setting, this has not stood the test of time. Company promised me to follow up with a remedy but has since ignored me, whilst they are vigilant on silencing Amazon Reviews they are not so on following up with problems.

This air purifier really neutralizes odors like paint for example. It works very well in my medium sized living room. I've owned it for over a year and run it about half the time.. The noise isn't that bad, but may annoy you a little. Compared to the alive 9 stage air purifier, this seems to produce less ozone and performs better.

Bought this unit because of severe allergies its been three days but so far the unit is great my cough stooped the very next day I will write a full review in about 30 days if works as expected I will defenetly get a second unit for my basement thanks guys for making a product that really works keep up the good work God bless
