Excellent Refills
I've had a chance to compare the Parker, Schneider, Monteverde, Schmidt easyFLOW, and a half dozen generic brand ballpoint (ISO 12757 G2 or sometimes just called G2) refills. All will fit the standard Parker (G2) type ballpoint pen (the most commonly found ballpoint pen cartridge). For my writing style, I've come to favor the Schmidt easyFLOW refills. I require a very dark ink, that dries quickly, doesn't smear after it dries, and doesn't blotch. The Schneider Gelion is a gel ink and though it writes well, I can empty a refill in about two weeks. The Parker and Monteverde are excellent as long as you use the pen daily on a consistent paper. Their ink could be darker for my taste. Also, towards the end, those brands begin to blotch in my experience. The Schmidt easyFLOW stays consistently dark and the line size does not change with heavy use. It dries relatively quick and rarely smears. I've never experience blotching problems. An easyFLOW typically lasts me about two months. I tend to write in log books and the paper might be heavy, standard, or so thin it is almost transparent. easyFLOW gives good results on all of them.Depending upon the pen, I sometimes make minor adjustments by pulling out the plastic barrel stop about 1/16 of an inch. I've begun to use these refills almost exclusively with Rotring and Pelikan pens. I have no experience using the pens in extreme temperature environments, so I can't help you there.

Trash batch.
I usually don't take the time to write reviews but I had to for these. I love the Easyflow 9000 carts. I had purchased a 3 pack back at the beginning of 2020 and one cartridge was lasting me months on end with a job that I write every day at. In Feb I moved and ended up misplacing my other 2 carts, so I purchased a 6 pack here. These have been the worst excuse of a batch I have ever used in my life. My carts were delivered on April 12th 2021. As of writing this review on May 5th 2021, I am already on the 5th out of 6 carts because they have froze up and started skipping non stop. I have seen a few other people say they have recieved a bad batch as well. Whoever is sending them out needs to stop. Otherwise I suggest buying from somewhere more reliable like Jetpens. Huge waste of time and money.

Smoothest Ballpoint refill I have ever tried.
Last year I started to get into writing. It made sense since I loved trying different pens and paper to find that perfect combo. I did a lot of research and picked up a few of the Parker style G2 refills and a few different notebooks with different types of paper. The refills work with you standard cheap paper you find everywhere. It does have more feedback and resistance with the cheaper paper. Tomoe River paper and this refill are stupid smooth. Only down side I found with this combo is if oil's from your hand or something else get's on the paper it will not write over the oil spots. It's really smooth paper so that doesn't surprise me. The best combo I found for every day use is Midori MD notebooks and this refill. The paper in the Midori MD has just enough texture to keep the refill writing yet is smooth enough it doesn't effect how smooth this refill actually writes. If you have heard about these refills like I did just try them because they are worth it. Another reason I love them is they don't cause hand fatigue when writing for long periods of time like a lot of ballpoint pens and refills will. These are and will be my number one refill for anything they will fit as long as they are made. My second choice is a Jetstream SXR-600-07 which is worth a look as well.
