I bought this a couple of months ago. IT IS GARBAGE! I put in the extra batteries that it asked for, and it didn't even last 5 minutes. (after charging it and trying many new battaries that worked in other devices) I live in Honduras where the days are BRIGHT and the lights are often out during the night. I tried many days to charge it using sun and then using it at night, and the light itself never even turned on. It feels very cheap in my hand compared to others that I've boughten. If I could send it back, I would!DON'T BUY!!!

Just used these for the first time camping and I am impressed. Even when I first got them I pulled them out of the box and they had a charge and were bright but I didn't know how they would fair in a dark campground. They are compact and solar which I really liked as so much of our camping lanterns are big and bulky and required batteries or propane which I am trying to get away from for bulk purposes and waste. My husband thought I was crazy in ordering these as some solar products tend to be a let down, but not these. They actually put off a ton of light. I like them so much that I am going to order a few more to replace my battery operated bulky lanterns. We only used them for a few hours each night but they seemed to stay bright the entire time. The only negative I have is I could not get the USB charger to work to charge my phone. Maybe I wasn't trying to charge it correctly as I have different solar lantern that requires the light to actually be on to charge or maybe they don't work but honestly I didn't buy it for the USB function I just thought it was a cool feature and we were camping so do you really need your phone. I didn't even remove a star for the USB issue because I am so impressed with the Solar lantern function.

Pros:- Great Price- Variable Colors- Lightweight (could be good or bad)- Various ways to charge the lamp- Can be folded up small (good for backpacking or camping and storage)- VERY brightCons:- The lamp is actually plastic and seems a bit flimsy/easily breakable. (However, this also means that it is really light which is a benefit with backpacking or hanging the lamp in a tent, for instance).- Feels like the plastic paint could chip easily.- I had to manipulate the a/c adapter to get it to fit inside the lamp. Seems like it shouldn't do that.

I received this lantern that I had ordered but did not know what to expect and when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. I had not been able to charge it yet or put batteries in it but it already was lit without them. I took it into a room, turned off the light and could not get over how bright this lantern is. I intend to buy a few more to have in case of an electrical emergency and I know I would want to order a few more to get for gifts for others. I am very pleased with this product and certainly recommend it to others. I like that you can charge it with the solar panel and also charge your phone by plugging in a USB connection. I believe this is an amazing product for the price.

A marvelous idea, very poorly executed. I purchase a pair, they worked for one battery charge, after which the batteries would not hold a charge for more than a few hours, then stopped working altogether. I might have written off a single unit as defective, but two? Junk, made in China, of course.

I ordered two LED "pop up" lanterns, one of which stopped working about 6 months after I bought it. It won't work unless plugged in, so no amount of charging will help. They say they guarantee all of their products but I've tried contacting them for a replacement several times now and have received no response. NO electronics item should fail within the first year without the company offering a replacement. Stay away from this horribly run company.

After 30 days of very limited use , one of the lantern stopped working ( It flickered first then stopped completely the day after ).Charged with AC , put in new batteries , did not work.The other one seems to work fine.Update.The other one went dead.Do not buy

This is a great product, particularly for the price. The lantern puts out a lot of light and doesn't require much exposure to sunlight to charge. In addition to being a good camping lantern, it also makes a good nightlight and car light for kids while traveling at night. The lantern is a good value in and of itself and the USB port for charging phones and other devices makes it an awesome deal.
