Little pricey, excellent sound quality!
Absolutely changed the sound quality of my Ibanez Jem jr. It sounds awesome now! A little pricey, but worth the enhanced sound quality!

Awesome sound from this pup
Great sounding pick up. I love it as I put it in a pine guitar build I did and had to get another for this epoxy/striped ash/walnut build I’m currently working on. Fast delivery from seller.

Horrible experience
I was so excited for these. I was willing to spend extra to get a nice pair of pickups. I installed them in my PRS a week ago. As I was installing them the wax all crumbled and fell out of them onto the freshly polished guitar. I thought that was weird but had no other choice but to continue. Then once installed they sounded horrible. They are so tinny and hollow. I’ve adjusted pickup height, double checked wiring, everything. It’s like they were dropped or damaged or something. I’m still too new to have a better idea of what went wrong, but I’m sure it’s the pickups. So very dissapointed.

Fantastic pickup, made a huge difference swapping original Prs SE Pickup
I recently got my hands on a PRS SE Custom 24 and decided to swap out the pickups for the Tremonti USA set. wow, what a difference, the clarity and response are incredible. Just a heads-up for anyone who’s not familiar with these pickups: they’re seriously HOT compared to the stock SE pickups. These things really bring the fire!

Stellar tones from this pickup. Installation was easy & a welcome upgrade from the pickup that came with my guitar to achieve a crushing high gain tone I wanted. 5 stars! ★★★★★

I love this pickup for high-gain tones. It sounds exactly how I always imagined the EMG 81 should’ve sounded—tight, aggressive, and huge. You get record-quality tones straight out of the gate. It chugs hard and delivers a massive sound, with great mix-cutting clarity. I gave it 4 stars due to its lack of versatility. While it absolutely excels with heavy, high-gain playing, it struggles a bit on the clean side. The output is so high that it pushes most tube amp clean channels into breakup. You can clean it up using the volume knob, but in a live band setting, I didn’t really have time for that. That said, if you do roll the volume back, it’s like a wolf trying to convince you it’s a sheep—you can tell it's still a tamed high-gain beast underneath. Coil splitting is technically possible, but it just doesn’t sound good. No surprise there—it just wasn’t really designed for that. One thing to note: you’ll need a strong neck pickup to match it, or at least raise your neck pickup closer to the strings. I had a Tremonti Treble in the bridge, and it completely overpowered the neck pickup, causing a massive volume imbalance.
