I love coffee. But I get severe gastritis. So I looked it up and found out that dark roasted coffee which is cold brewed has lesser chance of causing gastritis. This is just that. And tastes good too. It's 100% arabica. And it's from Chickmaglur! Awesome.

Okay, so this was my first time dealing with cold brew coffee. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The brewing process is lengthy but relatively straightforward. Take 500ml of cold or room temperature water. Put the coffee bag in, leave it for 8-12 hours, and voila. As far as the taste is concerned, for an average joe like me, it was low bitterness, Not very aromatic, a little earthy with a smooth finish. It makes about 3 cups per bag.I added some milk and had it chilled. If you're avoiding sugar, this is the way to go; low bitterness makes it easy to drink sugar-free. It's not perfect, though; coffee bags are pretty sizable; better put them in a pot or a jug, don't try to stuff it in a bottle. They rip very quickly, so be careful. Quite expensive if you drink coffee daily. One bag made 3 cups; you get three packs in a box that's nine maybe 10 cups, that's 30 bucks a cup. I mean, it costs 15 times more than your instant coffee but isn't 15 times better. Filter coffee just as good as this is available for a lower price. Comparing it to your average hot brew instant/filter coffee isn't fair though, there is something about a cold brew that is unique, I can't put my finger on it, and unless you can understand its nuanced appeal, average coffee drinkers (like me) won't appreciate it to the fullest.

I was skeptical after reading so many 5-star reviews. I was right - it's not as great as others have said. I guess all those raving 5-star reviews might be from the friends and family of the owners. The package definitely didn't fill my room with coffee aroma.Anyway, coming to the product. It's a decent coffee for around Rs. 50 per cup. It is no match for Starbucks Cold Brew.Pros:- Price- Easy to makeCons:- Weak taste even after brewing for 18 hours- bad packaging: lots of holes in the wrapping, hence all the freshness of the grounds is absent.

Ok this is a total fan review!I’ve been having this coffee for months now and it is premium artisanal coffee. Same coffee at star bucks would dent your entire pocket.The taste is delicious, texture & feel is perfect. I’m a total fan.I appreciate it every morning when I have it, it’s that good.For all you coffee lovers go, this is hands down the best coffee & it’s so easy to make without any machines.To the sleepy owl founder and team - Kudos on the great job you guys are doing. I have always been a HUGE fan of cold brew and Sleepy Owl is the OG of at-home\DIY Cold Brew packs. The product is very easy to use. However, each pack only gives you 500ml of cold brew which is barely 2 glasses. That was a bit disappointing. The aroma of coffee coming from the box the minute you open it is amazing. It is a very robust flavour and the aroma after brewing is heavenly. The pack of cold brew once steeped for 24 hours is very fragile and difficult to remove from the glass jar (mine burst right open and I had to double-strain it to remove the coffee grinds). If you like a strong flavour go for it!

Sleepy Owl well done. I have to buy a borosilicate container to steep the coffee but it's worth it. Steeped the first pouch for 18 hours and it's super smooth. Though, you guys have mentioned 500ml of water for 1 pouch but I have poured around 900ml and the coffee is perfect. But there is one issue and I think you guys should think about it. Once it's brewed, then taking the pouch out from the container is very painful, I tried with a spoon and the pouch tore and the liquid was full of coffee grains. I had to use a sieve and transfer the coffee to another glass bottle to store. May be you guys can bundle something with the box which can take the pouch out of the containers.
