Asterix is evergreen. Will be till the world exists.

Renewal Goscinny the writer has illustrated a great comic character of Asterik and Obelix. Children 6+ would definitely love the hilarious drawings, remarks of the Gauls portrayed therein. 5 out of 5 Mark's. The product came in good packing. Had the value been a little less for online purchase of comics, I would have opted to purchase the whole series.

I read many Asterix books but read this very first book in the series only recently. The features of Asterix, the Druid and particularly Obelix look different from the subsequent volumes. This volume shows the first encounters with Romans and also the first time the Romans feel the effect of the magic potion of the Gauls. Some subsequent volumes are better in terms of story and adventure, but still this is quite readable.

Got it before expected time and my son was super thrilled and happy with his new Asterix book. Thanks to the guy who delivered the book before time inspite of the bad weather in Bangalore.

ce commentaire s'adresse aux versions souple et cartonnée grand format de l'éditeur Orion de 2004/1961 présentant la traduction de la toute première aventure des célèbres héros d'Uderzo et Goscinny: Astérix le gaulois; comme dans la serpe d'or, dans cet épisode, le dessin se cherche encore (Idefix n'existe pas, Obélix est plus svelte et ses menhirs irréguliers, César n'a pas encore son nez caractéristique, voyez la différence avec les personnages des pages de garde et de couverture) ; cependant, l'histoire est déjà particulièrement réussie et annonce une série d'aventures toutes plus drôles les unes que les autres qui ont fait leur succès international; la lecture en anglais, bien que grandement aidée par l'image, nécessitera néanmoins le recours à un bon dictionnaire si vous voulez saisir toutes les nuances des jeux de mots; un classique à avoir absolument dans sa collection surtout en version cartonnée grand format (attention, des exemplaires brochés souples sont plus fréquents en anglais surtout à bas prix)

ゴール人の活躍を描いたシリーズもの。ヨーロッパでは誰でも知っているコミックみたいですね。敵であるローマやシーザーを｢悪｣として描いていて、日本人である私には新鮮でした（学校では、ババリアンとしてのゴール人については、ほとんど学ばなかったので。）シリーズを揃えたいです。

Very funny, the language are jokes were really great. I loved the drawings they were stunning. :) ;) asterix is great. Obelix is the best character.
