A fun learning toy
A great and fun way to keep children entertained while they learn. My 4 year old loves it and I love that it's an actual backpack kids can carry along easily. It is well made, has different game options and easy to use.

The cutest!
This backpack toy is so cute! My 5-year-old niece loves it and she’s not even that aware of Dora yet. It works well, is good quality and seems like it will last a long time. The sound quality is fine: about what you would expect from a toy with this, but it is clear enough to understand what's being said easily. It is a little pricey but worth it as I feel like it’s hard to find toys that are both this entertaining and educational at the same time. Overall a really great toy, especially for kids who are learning letters and how to write, even ones who don’t necessarily know much about Dora.

fun and interactive toy for Dora fans!
I ordered the VTech Dora Got Your Back Learning Backpack (English Edition). The left panel has interactive buttons with activities in both English and Spanish. The right panel has a small display screen and an etch-a-sketch style drawing board. The pen is attached by a string so it won't be lost. Both my 2.5 year old and 5 year old enjoy playing with this. It also has straps so it can be worn like a backpack which is agreat for taking on-the-go. Cute toy for Dora lovers!

Could have been so much better
Great an idea. The screen to teach the child is pretty small. So not easy for them to follow instructions. The number of buttons is a little much too. So initially at least it’s a bit overwhelming.

Cute learning toy, better for older preschoolers
I tested this with my 3.5-year-old niece, and she’s been surprisingly into it, especially the drawing and tracing games. She thought the stylus was hilarious, and it's chunky enough for her little hands to manage. There are a bunch of games in both English and Spanish, but she mostly stuck to the letter tracing and the emotion matching stuff. The little screen up top shows animations and menu prompts, while the bottom is more like an old-school magnet drawing board (not digital, but honestly that’s a plus). No risk of cracked screens, and she can swipe it clean with "Swiper" and start over. That part got a lot of use. It folds into backpack mode, but just know it doesn’t store anything inside—so it’s really just pretend play at that point. Still, she liked wearing it around the house. Only complaint is that some menus take a few extra steps and she needed help navigating at first. Probably best suited for kids closer to 4 than 3, but it's a fun way to sneak in a bit of learning.

Old school tech for new school kids! A little complex for smaller kids but great for 4-5 yr olds
My niece is just learning her alphabet and numbers and this tablet has been fantastic to aid in her learning when she comes over. The bright colours, Dora theme, and nice thick stylus all encourage and bring her lots of fun to practice. There is audio that can be turned on or off; a great option for overstimulated parents that more kids toys should really incorporate. The writing screen is similar to ones I had as a kid where it used magnetic sand instead of it being an actual screen. I actually love this because the chance of it breaking is way lower than if it was an electronic screen. Its easy to wipe away the letters to start again and keep the learning going. There is another screen above the writing area that is digital, and displays fun graphics and videos as well as provides a way to navigate the menu. The toy folds into a "backpack" shape but with no kind of storage its just purely aesthetics and encourages kids to roleplay as if they were "Dora." The size was adequate for my almost 3 year old niece and didn't tip her over. Kids on the younger side of 3 might need assistance from an adult (or older sibling) to help navigate some of the menus but kids on the older end of pre-school should be okay to use the tablet on their own with minimal assistance.
