The first thing you notice when you open the box is how well made these units are. Even the handle feels really well built. I’ve used them on the barbecue for kebabs and also in the oven to make chicken. AMAZING how much of a difference these things make since you don’t need to shove everything tightly onto a skewer… things just cook so much better now! There are certain recipes that I have that require me to cut up chicken/beef into bite-size pieces in order to marinate them.. if I am baking or broiling, it’s a pain in the butt to have to flip over all those little pieces, and that’s where these things come in really handy. They’re easy to open and close, and although it does requires some dexterity to get the handle in the holes, it’s definitely worth the little bit of extra effort to have cages like these that allow you to close your barbecue hood or your oven door. Except for perhaps steaks, these cages are going to change the way I barbecue everything. They are that good! Cleaning is super easy as well. If you have some really burnt on crud, then you might want to give it a quick brushing with the dish brush before you put them in the dishwasher, but that’s the same for everything... I love these things so much that I bought another set. Highly recommended for anyone who is serious about barbecuing or cooking! (and seriously, I am extremely picky about my kitchen tools).

I love these grills! They are very easy to use, and the fact that you can just leave them in the grill to cook with all the heat makes them perfect for my use case! The detachable handle is pretty easy and intuitive to use. The only pain is cleaning all the grease off of them! Simply putting them in the dishwasher doesn't do a whole lot. Maybe soak them in vinegar and/or baking soda before? The buuld is pretty solid and the cage is also big enough to hold a lot of food without dripping a lot of the good atuff out! I wouldn't say that they are cheap, but I like them for their functionality and design!

I love gadgets. Good opening statement. So I am attracted to gadgets, but especially gadgets that make me look cool in the backyard BBQ. The family loves shish kabobs, and I have always used the bamboo sticks only to have slivers of lumber carve my fingers up as I put the meat and veggies on. And yes, I soak them, but I'm accident prone. So I saw these and said, "Hey: Gadget, BBQ, Cool". I usually don't speak in complete sentences to myself. I purchased them and tried them out immediately. I put them on my smoker; I should have put them on the Kamado instead. They tasted fine, were easy to assemble, easy to turn (big improvement over the bamboo sticks) and produced a quality meal. However, clean up was a bit hard with steak and chicken adhering to the metal recesses and crannies. Had to use a small steel brush to get the hard to reach areas. On more however; I would recommend this product. It is leaps and bounds (what a weird saying: leaps and bounds, I wonder where that comes from?) But I digress. Great product.

I got these to use on the grill, but we have also used them in the oven and everything comes out great either way. It’s fun for presentation. They are larger than I expected which is great. We put asparagus in them and then placed them in the oven and the asparagus was perfectly crispy. I would not recommend putting them in the dishwasher. They are stainless steel though so they can handle a lot of heat and they should last a long time. The removable handle is a fun feature so you don’t have to use an oven mit to get them out of the grill. I think the price point is a steal for how good the food turns out.
