This stuff works and I am pleased with the out come but it did take three applications. I live in an old house, about 100 years old and the gnat's seem to appear every summer. I also live by a lake so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I would say it was an infestation, I couldn't eat without them buzzing around me. I am one of those people that is a bug lands in my food, it's now the dogs food so these things were maddening. (And yes, I know it's irrational to stop eating your food just because a tiny bug lands on it but gross's me out and that's the way it is.) Forget about drinking red wine because they love it and land in it immediately. In any event, the gnats literally drive me crazy. I hate them! I have tried everything to get rid of them. The vinegar, soap, water traps. The lights with the sticky cards. Anything I could find. These traps catch the gnats but they don't get rid of the problem. I saw this and thought I would give it a try. I ordered two cans to start with because I have three full bathrooms, a utility sink, plus the kitchen sink. The first time, I performed the application at night on July 7th and then went to bed. I used both full cans, which was mainly because I was figuring out how to use it properly and I put almost a full can in the garbage disposal. I would say in the next couple of days you could see a significant reduction in the number of gnats and I found several in my bathrooms dead. I figured it would take a couple of applications due to the other reviews that I read. Within about four days, I saw them beginning to increase again. I ordered two more cans and applied about 1.5 of them the night of July 12th. That is 5 days following the first application. Following that application, there was another significant reduction in the gnats and I was still finding dead gnats on my bathroom floors. After the first two applications there was a significant improvement in the quality of my life. Just chipping away at killing these gnats and I was/am determined to rid my house of these pests! Ordered two more cans. I was leaving for the weekend so I thought a perfect time for another application and then it would be able to sit for a couple of days. Applied another ~1.5 cans on Friday afternoon around 3:00pm on July 18th. Returned Sunday July 20th early evening. To my shear delight, I did not see any gnats! Monday, I saw one gnat. Tuesday, I saw one gnat. Wednesday I did not see any gnats. It is now Thursday morning and I have not seen any gnats. I am hoping that is the last of them but I still have enough product for another application if it is needed. So, in summary, it has taken me close to four cans to fully eliminate them over the course of 16 days. I ordered a total of 6 cans at a price tag of $95.82+tax so over $100 in total, so not cheap. Also, pretty sure the stuff is toxic because it says something about hazmat on the label for shipping. Hope this helps.

This stuff works! Oh man does it work! And you know when you've used enough because it foams and fills the space! Brilliant! Well done! No odor, no mess, and no return bug visitors.

Super easy to use compared to the concentrate I had to measure and mix with water last year. About the same effectiveness- took a second application and a few extra weeks to eradicate the drain flies. One can filled the drains for five bathroom basins, two kitchen sinks, one laundry tub drain, three bathtub drains and one shower drain.

I tried a citronella type drain fly killer every night for a month and saw no improvement. I used this Terro foam ONCE and haven't seen a drain fly since! I've been using Terro ant bait successfully for years so i should have started with Terro when i suddenly started getting drain flies. Worth every penny, unlike the other brand I tried first.

The foam itself actually works once it gets where it needs to go. After a couple of days, there were noticeably fewer flies hovering around the sink, so it’s clearly doing something down there. The problem is getting it applied in the first place. Using it felt oddly finicky. If the can isn’t held almost perfectly upright, it mostly just blasts out air instead of foam, which is awkward when you’re trying to angle it into a drain or around a disposal. I had to stop and readjust several times, and even then it felt like I was wasting product just trying to get a consistent stream. The extension tube helps a bit, but it doesn’t completely solve the issue when the can is tilted even slightly. Once I managed to coat the drain walls, it did seem to help, but the experience wasn’t smooth or intuitive. Between the awkward spraying and the sense that some of the product never actually made it into the pipe, it felt harder to use than it should be for something meant to be a quick treatment.
