Yes, we have. It worked but it was a little hard to see the snow on snow once the mold was removed. It also depended upon the texture of the snow- you need snowman snow for the molds to work properly (and if you live in a climate that often gets snow you know exactly what I mean when I say "snoman snow.")

Are these toys very sturdy? I'm thinking of getting them for 7 and 8 year old kids who are stronger and like to play rough, will they last?

Yes, they are of tough plastic. Although my daughter is too small to play roughly but I like the quality. Tough but smooth.

The green shovel broke after two years. It was my daughter's favorite piece in the set. Does anyone know if I can buy this shovel separately?

This is a very high quality set. Shovel easy to use. All item work well except ears on rabbit mold. Nice carrying case that does not take up too much space to leave in car. My grandson loved them. Unfortunately we left some items at park and now someone else enjoys them. Have looked for replacement an don't see as nice set.
