Do these match the coyote brown color required for the new AF uniform?

    Ok so I just got them, haven't worn them to work yet.  They are the correct color for ocp wear, but they are shorter than my old boots even though they say 8 inches, I haven't measured but they are noticably shorter.  However the reg does not specify height so I am going to wear them and see what they say but I read the afi several times.  Zipper is authorized. My old sage boots had side zip.  The reg states that side zip is authorized, I think zippers are even authorized for some of the boots on the safe-to-fly list as well. My only legitimate concern would be the height (which may be because I wear size 5 boots, so they may shorten it on smaller sizes and yours may be fine) and then the Reebok on the back seems a bit more pronounced than I anticipated so I wonder if that will be considered excessive.  It's very dark colored and goes across the entire heel area.  
      As prior army I will add that I believe these would not meet at 670-1, the height alone is an issue for mine since they're definitely not 8 inches and the reg states 8 to 10 inches.  But I know the text on the back would almost certainly be considered excessive.  It would be fine if it were closer to the same color as the rest of the boot but it's very noticeable.

Are these waterproof?

Yes. But I always spray one or two coats of waterproof for shoes anyway for added protection as I work outside 90% of the time.
