I bought this to repair the umbrella. It worked very well. There are plenty videos on how to repair the broken cord of the umbrella. It’s fully functional now. Very pleased with the purchase.

I have an umbrella purchased from Home Depot "Home Decorators Collection" auto tilt. I was able to replace string but with a lot of trouble. I had to widen hole in crank just to feed into handle. This cord may be ok for some umbrellas but way too thick for mine.

This product is a very good replacement lift cord when one has to restring a broken one. Our 10x6.5 umbrella takes 8' of cord to restring, so with no waste this package does two umbrellas. $10 for an umbrella is fair market price, and here you get a very good cord.

I just replaced the patio umbrella cord with this one and it worked as expected except for the fact that it was hard to pass the cord through the small hole in the umbrella handle. I don’t know about durability yet.

Aside from the struggle of getting the cord through the small hole of the tilting mechanism, it’s exactly what I needed.

it's a bit difficult to thread through to the manufacturer crank and style. I had to drill out a larger hole for the cord to work on the winding mechanism. I struggled to get it to pass into the guide pipe. I am glad it worked once it was all rigged properly.

I ordered 20ft. Opened up my patio umbrella crank box and put it on, and was surprised it only had about 1 foot of spare length. So it's about 10ft but definitely not 20ft. Since I've put it on (with a little effort), I'm not gonna return.But anyone who's gonna order this string , make sure you measure it after you receive it.

The nylon cord is little bit thicker than my original cord, But I bought too much, (20 feet was overkill)… However, the cord attached and fit as required to get my patio umbrella functioning again.I believe this cord will outlast the remaining life of the umbrella.Amazon shipping was amazing. shipped in 3 days.

I dont believe the length was accurate as it came in short to my application. I was able to use the old line and just knot it to this as a small extension which Im glad worked.

Our old patio umbrella rope finally broke after years of winding. Given the cost of new umbrellas, the hassle of replacing the rope was worth it. The rope will likely outlive the fabric of the umbrella.
