4 Port KVM
I have been using the 2 port KVM from Trendnet for past 3 years and recently with addition of some more computers in my lab I wanted to upgrade to a 4 port KVM. Based on the good experience with trendnet KVM I went for this4 port trendnet product. This 4 port KVM replaced my existing KVM and worked almost like plug and play.I installed no new drivers on any of my systems but the systems recognized the device and started as a plug and play. The switching between computers using 'scroll lock' key was already available without doing any configuration.Connected my Vista, Win 7 and Win 8 computers and all are working.Although the product adverts did not mention Win8 as supported or not supported but its working for me.Excellent buy and would surely recommend!

Trendnet switch kit - brilliant!
This is a marvelous device that I had never heard about till I came across it in a magazine recommendation. Looking on Amazon there were cheaper units that had mixed reviews, but this one at twice the price (£20) had nothing but five star ratings, and this is the one I went for. It arrived within 3 days, and despite there being no real installation instructions - only a printed diagram showing which of the supplied cables goes where, I had it up and running in 10 minutes. I now have both my XP and Win7 towers running through the same 24" screen, wireless mouse and keyboard, and speakers. I have both towers running simultaneously, and little switches on the top of the unit marked 1 and 2 allows me to switch between computers with ease. As far as I can see there is no downside to this device, I can work on one computer doing one task whilst the other is burning a disc or similar, switching back and forth between the 2 computers at will. I have no hesitation in recommending this unit to someone who wants to 2 towers together.

Good value for money
Have been using it for a month or so and only failed to sync once this morning. Had to unplug all the cables and reset it to make the computer recognise it again. Works fine, exactly as advertised, it has one VGA connector that goes to the monitor and it splits into 2 other VGA cables (+USB) that go into each PC. The input VGA connectors have the USB cable integrated so the switch transmits the signal from your keyboard and mouse to each PC. I have a wireless combo (mouse + keyboard) with an USB dongle for both and so has only connected this USB to the keyboard USB port and it works perfectly. Haven't tried the sound yet.Overall I would say that if you aren't looking for top quality, this product provides a good enough service of managing 2 PC's with just one set of keyboard and mouse, although DVI or even better HDMI ports would have been better.

Yes, it DOES work!
After trying out another brand of KVM switch, purchased twice (2nd one was a replacement) from another shop, neither one of which worked, I began to think KVM switches probably just didn't work. However, this one proved me wrong.. Delivery and packaging was fine. Set-up was straightforward and it all works really well. Occasionally I have to press the port-switch rather than just use the Ctrl+No. There is then a short wait while it switches to my second computer. The wait, however, may have seemed longer due to my bad experience with the previous non-working KVM models. Apart from being neat and the cables sufficient, this model has shown itself to be absolutely ‘just the job’.

It works
It works and comes with everything you need to connect two PCs to one monitor, keyboard and mouse. Can be a little fussy when it comes to USB ports though and some experimentation may be necessary.

Bought this after some severe difficulties with another model. The other model would only allow low resolution and would not work properly on the linux box. This unit allows switching between my Linux and windows box both of which work at 1920 x 1080.

DISABLES MULTI-BOOT OPTIONS AND BIOS ACCESS AND FAILED AFTER 7 MONTHS
It worked OK to begin with once the two PCs were up and running (It doesn't matter what OSs you have), but the USB connections failed after 7 months - a message appeared on windows after booting, declaring that "one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned" and that windows did not recognise it. There is no way of repairing such devices yourself, of course, so I now have to employ two mice and keep switching over the keyboard to get on with things whilst I decide what new model to buy. It won't be a Trend.

Great bit of kit
I've not used the audio sharing on this but do use it for my desktop and various laptops to stop faffing about changing monitor leads. only one USB plug to pop into your machine for both keyboard and mouse, used with XP, windows 7 and 8, no problems at all.

Works great for switching between 2 computers.
Works great for switching between 2 computers. Good price point and a solid part by a good company that has been around. Has 2 vga and you will need a USB. Audio not tested, but not needed. Recommended overall.

Works exactly as advertised...
Touch of a button switches between 3 desktops and a laptop. I have a wireless Logitech G602 mouse and a wireless Logitech K400+ keyboard USB receivers plugged into the unit. They both work with Windows 7 and Windows 10 systems, without driver setup, through the KVM. I couldn't be happier with the ease of setup and I just keep it in a desk drawer, so all the cable mess is out of sight. I can only see the cables running to the laptop... I'll have to figure out a way to hide that, heh.

Genial!

Great Product; Used for 1 Year and Would Recommend
Had this unit for a year now with no critical issues at all. The model I have is the VGA version. I use it to switch between two different laptops, both connected to laptop docks. The only issue I had is sometimes (maybe happens once every few months) is that while using Input 2, it would switch automatically to Input 1. So I'll be working and then my screen switches to my other laptop. Not a big issue, I just press the button and switch back, but it did happen more than once, but rare enough not make this product unusable. I have been using this product 5 days a week since I've bought it. For aesthetics, the casing has a shiny cheap plastic look. There are a lot of cords attached to it, which does not look good on a desk. My desk is against a wall, so what I did was use 3M velcro at the back of the unit and attached it to the back of my desk just over the edge so I could still reach and press the switch. This gives a cleaner look. It would have been nice if the unit had built in mounting holes. Also note, this device has 2 USB ports that are sharing one USB2 connection, so keyboards that require USB3 or have an additional USB port for a mouse input may not work. I've only tried one regular keyboard (no backlight) and a few different mice and had no issues, but I see in a few comments people mentioned they had issues getting their keyboard/mouse to work. Overall, I think this is a great product and I would recommend for anyone looking to share a VGA input monitor with 2 computers. If possible, I would recommend using DVI over VGA (VGA has a lower resolution).
