Does it support the optane memory, a 256 gb m.2 ssd and a 2.5 inch ssd at the same time? OR it can only support a m.2 optane and 2.5 inch ssd?

It has a single M.2 slot (for an M.2 SSD or an Optane module) and a 9.5mm slot for a HDD (or 8.5mm SSD).
You could install an Optane in the M.2 and a 9.5mm SSD however that combination will disappoint you (marginal if any noticeable performance gain from the optane for the added SSD).
The Optane was designed to compliment a conventional (or hybrid) 9.5mm HDD.
Once installed (and configured), it joins your HDD and the optane into a single drive.
It migrates some of the system files from the HDD and acts as a cache for the HDD.

Some very important caveats (important ones):
- The Optane is designed for Windows 10 (64 bit only) OS
- As previously mentioned,  it only provides  caching to your primary drive
- You need to re-migrate files before using any partitioning software on your primary drive

I strongly recommend you spend some time on Intel's site (discussing the technology) to decide whether your setup will be well served by the Optane.  (Read the white papers carefully)

In summary, with the single M.2 slot (which will accommodate either an M.2 SSD OR, an optane module.. not both) you can install a HDD (or hybrid HDD) in the additional 9.5mm slot (with the recommended OS) and really scoot.
That is what the Optane technology is all about; performance caching a conventional HDD.

Did anybody install Linux on this?

Yes...I created a Windows 10/Linux Mint 18 (dual boot Grub).  I installed Windows 10 first....then Linux.  Both are super fast IMO on this box, love it.  I have had some Windows Video driver issues (hardware too new I guess) but feel this will improve in time.

It comes bare-bones, no RAM, no hard drives, no OS. You will need to purchase the hard drives (M.2 SSD recommended as boot drive), memory up to 32Gb and the Windows OS.  The SSD drive makes it a screamer.
