Odyssey 3217-0006 Battery Terminal SAE Adapters

If you buy an Odyssey battery (which by the way is an outstanding battery), you may need the connectors. Note that the larger of the two posts is for the positive terminal. They install with a 5mm hex key. Depending on who you buy the battery from, some suppliers include the posts while others do not. Thus you need to buy these.

These work. The issue I had with them (to earn them a 4) is that they are SAE, yet my car's battery terminals are bigger than these so they don't fit like you'd expect and one needs a shimmy to be added in order to use the battery. Not sure why they don't fit. I probably need new terminals.

This was a massive upgrade over my OEM battery. These terminals weren't included with my new Odyssey battery, so I ordered them at the same time. They screwed on easily with a hex key (alan wrench), don't wiggle at all. and look absolutely pro.A big tip- the positive and negative terminals look almost exactly the same once you take the red plastic protective cap off of the positive terminal, but they are different diameters! This is standard for SAE. So do make sure to put the LARGER diameter terminal on the positive side of your battery, or you might over-tighten and brake your battery terminal connector and have to replace it like I did the first time.

I ordered these with my newest Osyssey PC680 battery in order to see how they attach to the battery. It turns out that I can't use these AND connect my stock wiring directly to the battery. No hard feelings, I'll use them for something. :+)
