challenging
love charlie harper pomegranate puzzles. sturdy pieces. nice paper stock. hardest puzzle this quarantine. birds were bit challenging but good. alot of solid blue sky where pieces could fit into more than one spot. reminder never to do a solid puzzle bc it's a frustrating and tedious fit by trial and error. but great puzzle.

Fun, beautiful puzzle. Frustrating, missing piece.....
This was a fun puzzle. I love Charley Harper. The solid blue sections were a bit of a challenge. The pieces are really well made and the puzzle is of good quality. Overall, I love it. BUT, I nearly didn't finish it because it was apparent from the first day that a piece was missing. It's hard to have enthusiasm for finishing a puzzle that will never *truly* be finished because of a piece not being included. Upon reading the reviews for this puzzle, it seems that several people had this problem. And, it shouldn't be a problem, since puzzles should come with all the pieces! I mean, really. That is the bare minimum. So, Amazon or Pomegranate Art Puzzle.....I believe you owe me a puzzle piece.

Challenging, fun, well-made, and beautiful!
This puzzle was such a joy to work on because it was challenging. By the time you get to the all blue part, you realize the challenge has just begun. But, in my opinion, the blue background only adds to the time you are able to enjoy putting the puzzle together. Instead of the usual threshold that you reach after which putting the pieces into place gets easier and easier, this puzzle remains difficult to the very end. Many of the pieces are similarly shaped, which adds to the difficulty, but, really, only the correct piece fits properly into place (giving you that subtle snap that lets you know you have the right piece in the right place). In fact, the puzzle seems very cleverly designed in regard to making sure that all of the pieces fit properly. The added benefit too is that, in the end, the puzzle is a beautiful piece of art.

Fun, challenging, good quality
Beautiful image, fun colors, whimsical but still challenging with all the blue sky and similar patterned birds. The pieces stuck together well so I could lift and move sections around. There was never a doubt about whether two pieces fit together or not. There was a lot of puzzle dust that coated the pieces when I opened it but that’s not a problem. I also like that the back of the box tells you the type of bird each one is! I think I may hang this one on my wall.

Last two pieces don't fit! An unsatisfactory finish! What the heck!
I love Charlie Harper. I love this puzzle. But the last two pieces do not fit in the two spaces that remain. Im not pleased! I would not mind a refund on this item, or possibly a different puzzle with all the correct pieces, or a credit. Thanks

Not the most fun after you get all the birds done
I agree with a lot of the other buyers. The solid blue is impossible once the birds are all done (which alone are difficult). The pieces are pretty thick and "puffy" so some of the important tiny amounts of color are nearly impossible to see as the pieces round at the edges. The quality is just not great. The matte finish is nice, but other than that this was a pretty disappointing puzzle for $20. I did notice that, on mine at least, there is a barely discernable print pattern of tiny lines/stripes from the digital printing process in the solid areas so you could at least tell which direction the pieces would ultimately go. But what would have made this a thousand times easier is just putting a slight color gradient in the background so you could tell whether a piece went near the top, middle or bottom. When you're left with like 400 pieces of the EXACT same blue, the fun just goes out the window.

This puzzle is not for the faint of heart.
Look at the puzzle and you will quickly see what the problem will be with it. The majority of the 1000 pieces are the same colour! This means that in order to get started one must create the palate or frame for the puzzle. Almost 100 % of the frame is the same colour and it it a challenge to select the proper corner pieces. The individual subjects present no unusual problems but the completion of the puzzle is a nightmare. About 30 % of the pieces are the same colour and the task becomes one of matching shapes. A time consuming energy draining exercise!

enjoyable for the most part
I really like Pomegranate puzzles, they are really good quality, thick board, and have interesting designs. This one was no exception, and I like Charley Harper's art. There is a really good mix of different shaped and sized pieces, so (apart from the border which took a bit to figure out) it's not possible to put a piece in the wrong place. The variation of shapes was actually a bit of a draw-back when I got to the background though - there were no quick-wins in fitting a piece in the featureless royal blue background. This did get quite tedious, hence dropping a star - nice for an artwork, less fun for a puzzle (for me at least), and you need to be really patient and systematic to complete this one.
