The sleeve on one of my connectors has begun to stick. Anyone else have that problem?

I have the same problem and will try a lubricant. The o-ring looks cracked pretty badly. I'll try to remove from the faucet it during the winter months to avoid the freezing and thawing (but no doubt, I will forget.) It's on the north side of the house, so the sun has no impact.

These people answering your question are morons. Obviously you aren’t asking about the female rubber washer. You are asking about the male O ring. And it’s NOT a standard garden hose one. Will the female fitting hold water pressure if uncoupled from the male fitting?

My Melnor PLASTIC Quick-Connect female fittings stop water flow when the male end is removed. I Googled this question about the METAL connectors & this is what it said: "Outlet end connector with water-stop, attaches to male end of any garden hose for easy quick connect attachment of accessories, stops water flow when product is disconnected, saves time & energy."
