At first I believed that I had a bad Xenon bulb in my driver's side headlight
The exact replacement part on my 2010 VW GTI with HID headlights. At first I believed that I had a bad Xenon bulb in my driver's side headlight, and to replace the bulbs it's easiest if the front bumper cover is removed. I ordered two replacement bulbs, pulled everything apart on a Saturday afternoon, swapped the bulbs, plugged the lights back in... and the driver's side still didn't work. Ugh! The ballast for the lights is on the underside of each headlight. I swapped the ballasts between the two headlights, and the problem followed the ballast... the passenger side stopped working. I was hesitant to put the whole thing back together again and also drive without a left high and low beam (one bulb does both in the HID lights). There was no chance of finding one locally, and the dealer wants over $250 even if they did have one. Found this on Amazon from Amazing Parts Warehouse, a little bit more expensive than some others but they offered overnight shipping for $4.00. I ordered it to save a day vs others that only offered free two day shipping, but still didn't expect to get this until Tuesday night (since most wouldn't ship until Monday). Was happily surprised to get this on Monday evening! They shipped the part on Saturday when they received the order. Awesome and much appreciated. Was able to get everything back together that night, headlights worked perfectly, and it's exactly the same as the OEM part on my VW.

Ballast for BMW 2007 - 5 series
I was not sure if I could trust the reviews because I saw good and bad ratings. I decided to take a risk since the low beam lights of my BMW 530i 2007 were not working. My mechanic told me that I needed to replace the light bulbs and the Ballasts. After more than a month, the ballast has been working perfectly. The best part, the price was reasonable if you compare with the dealership.

Expensive Garbage
I'd give zero stars if I could. Hella's quality has been diminishing over the years. They used to make high quality lighting but now it's just cheap plastic junk. The original Hella ballast only lasted 5 years. This replacement ballast lasted 3 months. For those looking for an OEM replacement...don't with this. You'll be replacing it in a few months with an aftermarket ballast like me.

I was very pleased with this part
I was very pleased with this part, so far so good. However for future 2008 Escalade EXT purchasers of ballast. Disconnect the ballast from the headlight assembly and check the prongs for corrosion. Before the purchase I may add. Mine had a lot of corrosion (this may have been my issue but did not have time to check) I replaced the Ballast and all is well. Going to keep the old ballast for further review, I suspect that it is good. Also do not go to O'Reilly and buy that bulb, they will not take it back if it is not the bulb, Auto Zone will take it back. Was not very pleased with the delivery. Paid for expedited service and did not receive part as expected. I'm still an Amazon fan...JoeDallas Texas

check ballast before buying the HID bulb!
I have a 2007 escalade that had an hid light blow out. I replaced the bulb and still didn't work. I purchased this ballast and now works great. I think I had water in the lamp and it corroded a connection point. I am attaching a photo of this to see what it looks like. Check this before buying the bulb.

OEM Exact Replacement
Exact replacement for 2010 Chrysler Town & Country Limited with Xenon projector beam low beam headlights. Takes some effort to change as the front fascia must be completely removed to then remove the sealed headlights and get to the ballast mounting location under each individual headlight housing. Opted to change out both ballasts given the age of my minivan. Dealer wanted $1,200 to replace one of complete sealed headlight assemblies, ballast, Xenon bulb and all the other bulbs in the headlight unit. Only the ballast was bad. Pretty sad what dealers will do to scam their unsuspecting customers.
