Nordic Ware Microwave Popcorn Popper, White, 12 Cup

This does a great job popping popcorn! Very little unpopped kernels. They pop up light and airy and so nice! Quite pleased with this item. I think it makes the best popcorn when used with just a little oil.

Drop in 1/3 cup of popcorn, a tablespoon of oil. Set for 3 minutes and listen for the popping to slow to a stop. Perfect popcorn every time.

After sifting through an infinite amount of popcorn poppers, I decided to go with this one. I used it as soon as it got home and I was happy. Did every kernel pop? No. Does every kernel ever pop ever? No. The popcorn tasted great. It worked really well. I'm happy with my purchase. I found that I stopped the machine around 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Every microwave is different. I feel that the price was right. Shipping was very quick, it showed up the very next day. It seems to be made of good material, and it was just the right size for a nice large Bowl of popcorn.

This has made the best homemade microwave popcorn. I've tried a couple of others (the silicone kind that collapses) and all they did was pop about 10 kernels and burn the rest. This takes about 2.5-3 minutes and is so easy. It is not dishwasher safe, but it is very easy to hand wash. The lid does eventually get uneven, but it still does what it is supposed to. I don't use any oil--just popcorn. The hubby uses 1 teaspoon of olive oil to cook. I also do use a spray butter to add flavor and have something for the salt to stick to. I can say that I'd highly recommend this. As a side note, the first one I ordered was delivered to a "safe place" but that place was never named (no idea what is a safe place as I have always had things delivered to my home) so I never received it. Amazon was very good and quick to replace it and the 2nd one was actually delivered to my house.

My husband is a lover of popcorn and he received one of these poppers as a Christmas gift about 10 years ago. He has used it and used it and used it until recently, it cracked and we needed to replace it. Pair it with Amish Country Popcorn's Ballpark Style Popcorn Salt and it'll taste just like movie theatre popcorn! Highly highly recommend.

First picture shows old bowl after years of use vs new bowl. It works great! It makes a perfect amount of popcorn for 2 adult size servings. The bowl doesnt get too hot to remove from the microwave by hand, safe to handle. I will always re-buy these bowls. Only reason its 4 stars instead of 5 is they dry out if washed in the dish washer, they're hand wash only.

I have been using the famous Presto Power Popper for more than 35 years, then bought out and hoarded a seller's close-out on the power concentrator cups way back when long before the advent of the internet where anyone can buy anything. They had been hard to find locally, so I did not always know when or where I could find more. Finally after all these years I had come to the point where my supply of concentrators was down to a single pack. After looking on the Amazon listings and finding that this Nordic Ware popper was at the top of the Amazon sales list, it was a no-brainer that I ought to give this popper a try-out — it cost less than a supply of those concentrators, so I figured it was a good move. And it is a good move for sure! The popper works perfectly in my microwave, AND it will pop more corn than my old Presto at a time, making more great tasting, fully popped corn for my spouse and me. The only thing I would change is that X shaped area in the lid. It makes it a little difficult to pull the lid off when the popping has ended. It'll be a good idea for you to follow the instructions that come with this popper too, especially if you have a really powerful microwave. The height of the popper is about the same as the old Presto, so it might not fit in some of those dinky microwaves. My review is based on using a quality popcorn product, and there's no doubt here that Jolly Time has done a great job at producing some of the best popcorn I've ever tasted. Edit: I've been using the Nordic Ware popper for several weeks now, and have discovered one little shortcoming that has to do with the lid: it just doesn't stay on. This isn't really much of a problem if you have a full-sized microwave, all that's needed is something that's microwave safe resting on top of the lid for the duration of the popping. I use a ceramic spoon rest that usually sits next to my stove. If you have a smaller microwave you will need to find something that will fit between the lid and the top of your microwave.

Pops popcorn in the microwave like itis supposed to.

Yo tenia una una de estas cosas pero conica (con una base para poner ciruclos de carton que vendian como repuestos aunque eran innecesarios) hace unos años y la adorabla... hasta que mi padre la que mo accidentalmente al dejarla como media hora en el microondas en lugar de 3 mins. Tenia el problema de que dejaba como 1-2 cucharadas de maiz sinr eventar en el fondo. Despues para reemplazar la anterior consegui lo unico que habia en Mexico una jarra de cristal con tapa y cubierta inferior desilicon (en SAMs y supongoq ue tambien en cotso) . Era facil de limpar pero como el vidrio concetraba la humedad y aún mas palomitas no reventaban. Al final mi padre la rompio accidentlmente ¬¬ . Compre esta cosa porque estaba a buen precio ($218.70 mxn) y debo decir que realmente truenan practicamente tods las palomitas alrededor de 3 mins, es facil de limpiar, y es resistente dentro de lo que cabe. La recomiendo.

I paid $30. As sometimes happens, the price may fluctuate on Amazon for this product. AT $30 its a little expensive. On a cost per use basis, I will probably get my money's worth from this as my family loves this and it gets used a lot at our house. This makes GREAT popcorn with not a lot of unpopped kernels in the end. It does get quite hot and I would say its smart to let it cool a bit between uses. My husband made 2 batches back to back once, and that is the only time there were a few burnt pieces. Absolutely every other time the popcorn has been great. Our 8 year old makes popcorn almost daily now. 1/3 cup of kernels and 4 minutes later, voila!

Well worth the money... excellent popcorn without any oil!
