Great home circulator or for limited use in profesional kitchens
Holds temp good and hasn't failed yet in any way. I am a professional chef and I have used the bigger commercial units a lot. This one is a quarter the price and will do most of what the bigger units do. It doesn't have fan speeds option though, but for 99% of what people do that doesn't matter. Time will tell if I end up burning it out. I did a batch of 48 hour shortribs in a 24 quart lexan with no issues. Pork ribs at home with this came out awesome, 36 hours at 140 and I just finished under the oven broiler for color and outer texture. Doesn't have any wifi features, but I dont care about that.

Works Great, Terrible Screen Angle
You have to get almost directly above the screen to read the temp/time information. Easy enough if you're 6'3", but a step ladder, or a low counter to read it with any ease.Easy enough to operate (once you can read the screen), and does a great job at holding temp - my brisket came out as tender as I've had in any deli or restraunt

Mine worked for about two minutes.
I just received this item and was excited to try it out. After turning on the power, setting a temperature and clicking the 'run' button, everything seemed to be working well - for about two minutes. Then the unit abruptly shut down and also tripped the GFCI circuit in my kitchen.I reset the GFCI and tried several other times (and from several different outlets) but got the same result each time I tried to turn it on - immediate shutdown and circuit breaker trip.I'd avoid this item since it appears that quality control from the Chinese manufacturer is a serious issue.Update: One other thing that I think is worth adding. I opened the service panel on the unit to try to determine if the temperature probe was touching the heating element or some other obvious problem was causing the short, and I was kind of shocked to see how simple and cheaply made the device actually is. The price of the item is about $400, but I'd be surprised if the materials it's made of cost more than $40.Inside, there's a coil heating element, a temperature probe, a small motor that drives the impeller shaft, a float switch, and a small package of electronics that runs the timer, drives the display, turns the heating element on and off, sends power to the impeller motor, and monitors the float switch. And that's it.So it's hard to understand why this product is so expensive (especially since breakdowns seem to be fairly common) unless what you are paying for is the name printed on the plastic case.Once I understood how basic these components are, I decided that instead of re-ordering another one of these and hoping I'd get one that worked, I'd go with a much less expensive alternative: Dorkfood Sous-Vide Temperature Controller (DSV)

Better than the anova precision cooker pro
The media could not be loaded. It just works. No frills. No WiFi enabled. No issues. No steam bubbles in the electronic control panel like I had in two separate Anova precision cooker pro. It’s quiet and just works. So much happier.Update: it's making a horrendous noise. See video. Ordered another. Will put it through its paces and update before I modify the review. But before this, it worked incredible well.Update x2:New one works as expected. 5 star

Great until the screeching started, arghhh
Have used this product regularly for 2 years and it sous vide very well, though unclear if that much better than those at half the price. Simple to use and worked consistently, still does….however. Starting about a month ago it has been screeching so loudly and annoyingly after running for about 15min. I took a look to see if this was anything serviceable but it doesn’t really appear to be. It’s like the pump impeller motor needs lubrication but there is no way to get at it to do so. A shame and hard to justify replacing at this cost, will try the Annova for less than half the price.
