Primary Phonics Workbook Set 1-6

My son’s school uses these books and they are wonderful. They work really well with learning phonograms. Would definitely recommend purchasing.

I teach 1st-3rd graders in a self-contained special education classroom. This is by far the best reading curriculum for this population. I have a primarily non-verbal student, and several students with severe dyslexia who have learned to read using this curriculum. The workbooks are very repetitive which is perfect for students with learning disabilities. The curriculum also incorporates prepositions, counting, and color words regularly to fully integrate the words learning. The presented phonics sequence starts slow to build fundamentals and builds in a very intuitive way. A few of my students have gone from nonreaders to reading 2 syllable words independently in a single year. That is unbelievable progress in a classroom where the average IQ is about 60-65.The curriculum is easy to pace according to the needs and abilities of the students, and they really enjoy it as well because it is so simple and repetitive that they feel successful and most can work independently on the workbook activities. I even have a student who does not know all of his letters, but he can read simple cvc sentences because of this curriculum.The only thing I would prefer are reproducible workbooks. However, even without that the curriculum's per student cost is reasonable. You probably don't need all 6 books for every student. 3 workbooks in a school year is the most I have needed for individual students. Just be sure to assess before you get started to determine the best book to start a student on. Most of mine started with book 1, but a couple started on book 3. I do suggest going in order from wherever you begin though.

I haven’t used them in the classroom yet. STILL SUMMER! They match my curriculum... seem a little easy in the beginning.

I got these for my daughter who was struggling with phonics last year. She has almost finished the whole series and now looks forward to reading as a subject.

There good for extra phonetic practice I liked them and my son said the were easy to do and helped him.
