a really great story
This is a wonderful story of a man's walk with the Lord. Through his perseverance he was able to over come many trials and become the man in Christ he longed to be. We too can learn from his determination. Its a very encouraging book for anyone wondering about their own life and it's place in Christ's Kingdom.

Don't miss this wonderful film
Yes, you could call this a moldy oldie ... but I'd suggest you get it before it becomes obsolete. Richard Todd does a wonderful job portraying the Scot who answered his calling, came to the USA and became chaplain to the U.S. Senate. Jean Peters is perfect as his wife. Somewhat of a tearjerker ... but so well worth the purchase price!

Excellent read. Deep prospective.
Rated "4" due to age of book. Content is rated "5". Condition of the book was excellent considering its age "60" and that it is out of print for so long. There were no pages missing or damaged and only stained by aging. I enjoyed every page of Catherine Marshall's well written account of Peter Marshall's ministry. A ministry truly worthy of emulating. People are lined up to read my copy including my daughter, a minister's wife. Thank you.

Peter Marshall, a man with unshakable faith in God and unquestionable character.
I was replacing a book that I have read more than once and had lost. This book is a truly great book about a truly great man. If only our present society had more great men like Peter Marshall.

A Man Called Peter
This was listed as used, good condition. I would certainly not call this good condition In fact, I would call it poor condition. The cover is badly torn and very poor job of taping it together.

A wonderful book
I have read this before and loved it, so I wanted my own copy and it is forwarded by Peter Marshall's son, Peter Marshall. I had been getting newsletters from him and sad about not able to get them any more due to his death. The book looks great and reads great!

This life story of Peter Marshall, written by his wife, Catherine Marshall, is a very interesting and encouraging read. Peter Marshall was born in Scotland and followed the call of God to the United States. The humour and energy with which Peter Marshall lived his life as a Christian minister, and in particular his wonderfully creative and descriptive use of language in preaching and prayer, I found to be inspiring and challenging. He was a humble and straightforward Christian who could communicate in clear language the essence of his faith, and make it real to both the ordinary working man and to politicians in the United States Senate.

This book is an "old friend" that I need to replace so I could lend it out. Was very satisfied with this copy!

A classic book, it has stood the test of time, and its message is as powerful - and as readable - as when it was first published. Peter Marshall was a great man of God who died of a heart attack at a young age. The book reveals why his life, though short, was such a blessing to so many people. Warmly recommended.

Very inspiring and uplifting, a great read from cover to cover. It's just amazing the impact that seemingly ordinary people have when they give their lives to God.
