HIGH QUALITY ADAPTER FOR AUDIO ENTHUSIASTS
As a departure point, the Apollo spade to banana adapter is beautifully crafted, well designed, very sturdy, and provides a tight connection to the spade lug and destination equipment. Periodically I swap out speaker cables between 3 stereo (2 channel) systems in my home. Not all amplifiers and speakers are designed to accommodate spades, which was my predicament with the DH Labs Q-10 Signature cable with which I wanted to experiment. I have never explored the availability of a spade to banana adapter previously, and discovered that only a couple of companies manufacture audiophile quality accessories of this nature. Based upon Amazon reviews, I purchased the Apollo item and am blown away. After cleaning all contacts with Kontak, I assembled the connector and am thrilled to report that there is no sound degradation. The adapter is "first class" all the way, with perfect form, fit, and function. To top it off, Apollo shipped the 4 items free of charge in triple bubble wrap. and I received the package in 3 work days. Suffice to say, Apollo gets my unqualified recommendation for this item and their customer service.

Buy these before you replace your expensive spade terminated speaker cables with cheap banana plugs
I don't buy hi fi gear very often these days and when I purchased a very favorably reviewed integrated amp recently I was frustrated to see that its so-called "five way" speaker binding posts actually only accommodated bare wire and banana plugs. Most people haven't used bare wire since college when you'd connect your Boston Acoustics speakers to your Technics amp with lamp cord. And banana plugs don't make a tight connection or if they do, it loosens over time or when you take them in and out.Back in my day, spade lug terminations on both ends of a speaker cable were the gold standard. They still are (or should be). Years ago I bought an outrageously overpriced pair of speaker cables on clearance for a fraction of their original price. A large part of the cost of high end cables is "professional" spade lug termination. I'm not about to cut the spades off these cables; they're the last pair I intend to buy for the rest of my life. :)There are a lot of banana plug to spade adapters available very cheaply. I don't really know why; most less expensive modern amps take bananas and not spades. You can also buy expensive spade to banana plug adapters to put on the end of your cables. There's a few of those. But these adapters here are the only solution that makes sense to me and I don't know anyone else who makes them. You plug the bananas into the crap binding posts on your "modern" amp and then you have nice heavy duty gold posts and knobs that accommodate your spades. Easy peasy. Now banana plugs are often loose from their first insertion. These are the opposite. On my amp, I actually had to apply some twisting force to get them to go all the way in. But that's not a bad thing if you want the best connection and intend to leave it alone. I was concerned the spade posts and knobs would be a little flimsy, but while they're not as robust as those on some high-end amps I've had, they're as sturdy as they need to be.To sum up, almost no one needs these but for people like me who do, they're a god-send. A little pricey for what they are, but you're paying for a unique solution. Highly recommended.

These are very high quality adapters. They fit snugly in my 5-way speaker posts and can be tightened very well by hand on my spade connectors.

The perfect spade to banana adapter
These are perfect. Nice and solid with a heft to them as to know they aren’t hollow and cheap. They stay gripped to the spade very well. They are also a nice size. Not too long. The plug is designed well too. It has the inner bulge to it so it stays tight inside the connector once inserted. Highly recommended. No need to spend a lot more.

this is an excellent product. A bit pricey
Yes, this is an excellent product. A bit pricey, yes, but worth it. Very high quality (heavy) and easily fits even very thick spades. There's plenty of clamp threading and exterior gripping space to fasten the spades really tightly into the adapter for a secure fit and good contact.I'm taking off a star. For sound. Compared to Vampire Wire's similar adapter, these are bright/harsh on the high frequencies. But Vampire will cost you about twice as much. Worth it though, IMO.

They get the job done
No complaints. They fit my spade ends fine and appear to be decent quality.

Fantastic Product
Top quality for sure. Totally worth the price. Didn’t want to re-terminate my existing speaker cables which have soldered spade connectors and these adapters work perfectly. Bought several sets and couldn’t be happier. Shipping was way ahead of schedule and items were packed with great care. Kudos to Apollo AV.
