Minor injuries only during installation - more slack needed on the wire leads to more easily install
Installed on a 2005 Subaru Outback sedan 3.0R. Be advised, the bulb only goes in one way into the socket connector. If you have it oriented wrong, the bulb won't securely sit in the socket and will just fall out. If it does not snap into place, reverse it and try it that way. Once you've snapped it in, check that the light comes on when you press the brakes. I didn't notice that the new light was any brighter than the old. I do like the 3 flashes feature when you first step on the brakes. I installed a module many years back on my cyclops light which flashes about 7 times before it goes solid. I believe this has saved me from several rear-ender accidents. I was able to get the new bulb inserted on the rear passenger side with only a little difficulty. The driver's side required minor damage to get in due to the wire leads from the connector that have very little slack. My efforts to remove the connector harness which was mounted to an unnecessary plastic extension to get some more room was unsuccessful until the extension snapped and broke. This allowed the wire a bit more room to angle the new bigger bulb into the hole. I debated holding the bulb partly in the hole and then attaching the connector, but I could just imagine losing control of the bulb while trying to seat it and having it fall into the lens and then not being able to get it back out without removing the whole lens assembly. I would have paid $25 more for the car just for an extra 2 cents of wire on that connector. Minor bleeding from the sharp edge that cut the back of my first thumb knuckle on the right hand.

Not a good product
I installed these on my truck and although they do work but when I use my turn signal my truck keeps telling me “check rear right/left signal bulb”. It acts as if the turn signals are not working and flash rapidly faster. I’ve installed Alla L.E.D lights on other parts of my truck and they work great, so I figured these would be great on my tail lights. These are not any brighter than my factory and that was the purpose of the purchase to warn people of breaking and turning/merging. Do like the fact that they do flash a few times when first applying break as the warning.

Quality LEDs. Awesome customer service
What can I say? You can't go wrong with Alla Lighting. Their LEDs are exceptionally well built, and if you do have an issue their customer service team is amazing. I haven't purchased anything from them in months and still got a Christmas card lol.

Much brighter than stock bulbs
I purchased the hyper white strobe brake lights because the lenses are ready tinted red so I just wanted to get a brighter effect for safety. My 2008 Honda Civic SI coupe they switched and matched the original bulbs perfectly. They're about twice as bright in the strobe effect when you 1st apply the brakes is definitely a big attention getter and safety plus. I guess I'm paranoid because I've been a victim of rear end collisions 2 times in the last 3 years so this is a good prevention.

Super easy to install
These are a pretty neat upgrade. My rear brake light went out in my 2013 FJ cruiser. I researched reviews here and then went for it. I’m not super handy but YouTubed a video on how to change it myself and if I can do it anyone can do it. Took about 10 minutes and it’s done. Love the strobe effect. Great price and so far great product.

Bright!
Very bright bulbs. Note that these have the "F1 race car flash" to them, so every time you apply the brakes they flash rapidly 5 times before staying on steady, just like brake lights on F1 cars.

The LED lights to purchase for brake lights!
I have these installed on all our vehicles and they work great! They really get the attention of the vehicle approaching fast behind you as you come to a stop. EZ to install, super bright, a win-win. If you are thinking about getting them, do it, no disappointments. (and they look cool too)
