EXCELLENT ELITE SPANKER Puppy Dog Collar Nylon Adjustable Dog Collar for Small Dogs Pet Soft Padded Dog Collar

Love this collar for my Doberman, easy to adjust and put on/take off. The handle is sturdy, the fabric on the underside is soft, the clasp is easy enough to use and overall the collar is well made.

I purchased this Excellent Elite Spanker Tactical Dog Collar, size L, color RGN on January 6, 2018 for my male Belgian Malinois. He was about 65 lbs when I purchased this and now is 75 lbs and still wearing it.I like the idea of the quick release buckle and control handle. It’s easier to reach my dog’s neck height than a vest handle.It’s worked great for keeping him close to me when walking past people in tight spaces. I keep the leash short with one hand and have him heel so I can grip the collar handle with the other hand.This collar alone would not work for my dog as his neck is larger than his head and this slips right on or off with ease. We use a prong collar on top of this tactical collar and hook the leash to the two rings of the prong collar and the D-ring of this tactical collar. This collar helps keep the prong collar from sliding down to a (wrong) low-on-neck position and the prong collar helps this tactical collar from sliding up and off his head.During the summer of 2018, my dog ran into the lake a lot and I had to wash the collar (in a mesh laundry bag) multiple times a week to get rid of the mildewy stink. Air drying at that time took too long before we needed to put it back on him, so it went into the dryer a lot too. This faded the color. The black paint on the buckle and D-ring also scraped off from leash and tags.After 2018 summer ended, he didn’t get his collar wet often and the collar no longer smells bad.The Velcro along the outside of the collar works great for patches. I really like this feature. Our dog doesn’t do well with strangers approaching us so we like to have a warning visible to others.I’ve posted a review for the that I purchased in both Medium and Large sizes. The medium fits on this collar as stated in that review. I’ve also recently purchased and placed it next to the other patch on this collar.Overall, I’m still happy with this purchase and still using it. It looks good on my dog and serves several practical purposes. 5 stars.Photos explanation:I've attached a photo of a for color reference. This collar was very nice and high quality

I bought 2 Spanker Collars XL in Nov 2022 for my Rottweilers; one Coyote Brown the other Ranger Green. The Coyote Brown has a Stainless D-ring but the Ranger Green does not, it was coated in black paint and has since rusted. See photo. If you are worried about rusting D-Rings I would avoid all the collars except Coyote Brown. The advertising photos show black coated D-rings on the the other 3 collar colors.The collars themselves are well made and heavy duty, maybe just a bit heavy. Easy enough to adjust and tough enough for my big dogs.One other issue for me personally however is the attached control handle. I found it to be more of a problem than a benefit. Even when wrapped with the Velcro strap there was enough of an exposed loop of handle that kept catching on gate latches and even some cabinet knobs in the house. My male Rottweiler was napping near my office desk and when he got up he caught the loop of control handle on desk drawer. He was so surprised he almost dragged the dang desk attached to his neck out the of the house at a dead run. That's when we took out the razor blade and cut off the control handles.

We were pleased. Collar made of durable materials and well fabricated. The fit was accurate. A little pricy, but seems worth it. Recommended for a big strong dog.

My German Shepard is 120lbs and a strong puller. This collar hasn’t shown any wear or aging. I’m afraid this collar will out live my dog.

My 12lb min pin did not like it at first, after coming from a much thinner nylon collar. This collar is rather stiff and it takes a break in period to get use to. I started by taking the collar off at bedtime so he can sleep more comfortable until he got used to it. It definitely looks good especially for if you're going for that tactical dog look. We still have it on loose since his neck skin is very sensitive.

Love these. Easy to size on my dogs, tough, durable, and look cool. Nice to grab onto when needed.

I bought the collar for my 8 week old GS Pup and the collar fit perfectly. He has been wearing this collar for the past 8 weeks and it's held up the entire time. I did have to adjust the length, which was easy to do. another 2 weeks will be time to size up.The best part was the collar came with a velcro tag that says " IN TRAINING " in big white lettering which is great, as people now ask if they can touch my dog instead of just assuming they can.

Sturdy, good quality collar. Even the vet commented what a lovely collar it was. The attached signs are held on with tough velcro, say can be removed and changed, but I kept the in training one on, as my xl bully is struggling to accept the muzzle.

Tiene muy buena calidad. Es muy ligero y está muy bonito a la vista. Lo único que no me gustó es que casi todo el collar tiene velcro para poder pegarle stickers o cualquier otra cosa que se pegue al velcro. Estaría mejor si todo el material del collar fuera como la parte que va hacia adentro, de tela.
